You are bidding on a 1998 Dodge Neon ACR DOHC coupe. It was converted to a SCCA SSC car in 2005, and driven in one drivers school. That's where the problems began. Another driver lost control of his vehicle and this poor puppy was collected in the mayhem. We got her back together and the school was completed successfully. What a trooper! Anyway, in addition to the visible body damage, the engine overheated. The head was pulled to be machined, and the car owner lost interest in racing. It's been killing grass in my yard ever since.
OK, enough of the bad. You are bidding on the vehicle in it's current condition, immobile. No warranty is expressed or implied. It NEEDS to go back to the racetrack, as a track day car, or Neon Challenge or even ITA. Don't stop reading here, check out the spares package below.
In plain text THE BAD:
Drivers side sheetmetal damage...fender, door, quarter panel. All cosmetic, a bit of duct tape and the car finished it's school, and was still quick!
Engine has been headless for years, cylinder bores are trash.
THE GOOD:
Solid car to start with, no rust, clean NC title in hand.
98K miles, interior is nice. Go back to the street with it if you desire.
WHAT IT COMES WITH:
Here's the really good part. A HUGE spares package.
You get the chassis with an Autopower bolt in 6 point roll cage, and a hot Mopar Performance ECU installed. A hanheld fire bottle, Safe-quip window net and 5 point harness are also included. Add your own race seat and go racing! You also get a replacement fender, door and quarter panel to handle the body repair. An expired (05) SCCA logbook. A running and completely dressed DOHC engine (seperate from car), a fully machined, new valves, ready to install, DOHC cylinder head. Three Koni yellows (4th damaged in aforementioned crash) A set of used Koni Black struts, a spare ACR transmission (needs sychro's), spare hubs, bag full of crash bolts, brand new set of Carbotech front brake pads, 7 spare 14" wheels (plus the 4 on the car, total of 11 wheels), a set of Marren Fuel Injection serviced injectors, assorted gaskets, new thermostat, handful of the original Neon Racing decals, a brand new Mopar performance adjustable rear sway bar and a couple of boxes of crap I can't even identify. Trailer hitch if you decide to drive it to the track with your tires and such in tow.
ASK QUESTIONS!!! I have tried to describe this car and parts pile to the best of my ability, if you have a specific question, please feel free to ask.
TERMS: NO warranty expressed or implied, none. If you are still reading, you already know what this car is and what it's for. Balance of winning bid due, in cash, upon pick up of the vehicle. Bring a trailer. Vehicle must be picked up within 14 days of auction end or deposit will be forfited.
