1937 Dodge Pickup Truck. First off, let me tell you it kills me to sell my truck. I have spent over a year and a half fixing her and #@!% happens so I'm selling her against my will!!!! This is a Model MC 1/2 ton pickup. I got it from a guy in Tennessee and it was literally held together with bondo and a can of ham (no kidding!!!) I took this truck down to the frame and I have cut out all the rusted crap and replaced all the bottom-cab sheetmetal with replacements from "The Plymouth Doctor" ($2500 worth, expensive, but worth it), fixed the grille shell, and soooo much other metal work it hurts to think about it!!. This truck is solid and is bondoless!!! The grille is OK for a rod, but not even near perfect. Has all 5 original Dodge wheels.
I took all paint down to bare metal and sprayed the cab and bed with brown primer and the frame with flat black (I think it looks cool as is, but if you want to paint it it's your call). The bed floor has been removed and the bed has been reinforced with 1" square tubing and is ready for the floor of your choice (I was going to put a wood floor in, but again your choice). The bed is straight and solid. The hood has been stripped to bare metal and painted brown on the outside and flat black on the inside and is in excellent shape.
I installed a Ford straight-six 200 ci engine and 3-speed manual transmission from a '68 Mustang to keep the look original (it came with a flathead six) and to update the reliability and it fits perfectly. I just installed brand new headers, chrome valve cover, water pump, thermostat and housing, alternator, fan belt, starter and solenoid, battery and regulator and cables, oil filter and oil pan gasket, and stainless steel bolts where I could. It turns over just fine, but it needs wiring completed, a gas tank and brakes.
It has the original rear end and includes both the original and the Mustang driveshafts. Includes the original seats, but they need recovering. The fenders are original and fronts are pretty good and the rears need some work.
I have a clear Tennessee title that I signed when I bought it. You get the title and a bill of sale that has our names to be legit.
All the hard work has been done, now it's your chance to complete it your way and own a rare piece of history. Everyone owns a Chevy and a Ford, dare to be different. Pull up in this Dodge truck and I guarantee you'll stand out!!!!
