Vehicle Description
The CB and the CB antenna are not included in this auction..
Here is a decent Dodge 4x4..It has been my daily driver for the last 4-5 years..I really do not want to sell this truck, but my current situation demands I do so..Has a clear title and registration but the registration will expire soon..I have never had any trouble smogging this truck..Now with that stuff out of the way I will list what has been replaced recently: Radiator is new, hoses and belts are recent, recent tune up, carb was NOS dodge about a year ago..New air filter, Brand new alternator, voltage regulator and new NAPA battery..I did EVERYTHING on the brake system except for the rear drums and front rotors and calipers as those items were good..ALL other parts are new as of about 1 year ago as far as the brakes are concerned..Has newer Toyo open country tires on it and they still have alot of tread left on them..I replaced the rear driveshaft U joints about a year ago as well..The truck has a diamondplate Husky tool box on it that I will leave on it and it is open, but I have NO keys for the tool box..
The 318 (Single barrel dual jet carb) engine has great compression and stops turning the moment you turn the key off..It is a great running motor and does not smoke or burn any oil..It does not knock or make any bad noises..It has served me quite well..The transmission shifts nicely and has never slipped at all..I had to change the speedometer out as the old one quit working not too long after I bought the truck..the original said about 16,000 miles on it and needless to say the replacement had higher mileage..the mileage of the motor is an estimate, and to be honest I could not confirm it when I bought it but if the internal condition of the motor is any indication then the mileage I stated is probably pretty close..
This truck has power steering as well..
The four wheel drive works well but I accidentally spun the center joint out of the front driveshaft as I drove through water too many times and I did not grease the driveshaft..I know I was stupid but I did not know how to get grease into the low profile fitting until it was far too late..I will include the front driveshaft to be used as a core and I will include all of the hardware to mount it but as of right now it is out of the truck and it is NO good..
The body has seen better days BUT I do have a very very straight cab (Old cab on running truck has rot in the floor) and a pretty decent bed to go onto the truck if you want it..Actually if you bring a trailer out you can load the parts truck onto it as it is mounted on a frame that has wheels on it..It is up to you..I do have a nice set of doors for the truck as well with good glass but no interior panels..The interior of the running truck is pretty good for how old it is, but the seat needs to be redone..Other than that it is just as I got it..The glove compartment lid is a bit chewed up on the top as well..
The exhaust is complete, but I hit a puddle the wrong way not too long ago and the truck tried to die and then backfired and blew the rear of the muffler back a bit..So now the truck has a tad bit of rumble..I do have a complete good exhaust system on the parts truck all the way up to a good set of manifolds..I have a title for the parts truck as well..
The only other thing I can think of for now (I may add more later) is that this truck will need a new drag link sooner or later..It has a little play in it..
I have an extra carburetor to throw in as well I believe..
I will take more pics tomorrow and add them to the listing..Any questions please ask..I really did not want to sell any vehicles on here, but here we are..I really do not want a bad experience my first time out so if you have any concerns please ask questions..If you need specific pictures please ask and I will take them for you..
If this truck does sell I will need a 500.00 deposit within 24 hours via paypal..After that is complete I can wait up to a week or two for the buyer to get things in order to come pick up the truck..It is entirely up to you..But the buyer is responsible for picking up the truck..The remaining balance will be due at the time of pick up..But please understand that you need to be serious about purchasing (If anyone does) as the deposit will be non refundable..I have tried my best to describe this truck to the best of my ability..It has been good to me and I do think it will be good to the next owner as well..Once again any questions feel free to ask..Feel free to make an offer..The worst that could happen is I decline it right? Thank you very much! This truck is sold AS IS..But it is a good runner..
