I will ad more pictures and details tomorrow.
I have this vehicle for sale locally and reserve the right to end auction upon sale. If it does not sell on or before the day the auction ends I may lower the reserve to ensure sale.
This has been my daily driven Dodge Ramcharger 4 wheel drive Canyon Sport. Powered by a 318 5.2 Liter V8 automatic/overdrive automatic 4X4. I have had this truck since 1999 and I bought it with 67,000 miles on it. As far as I know I am the second owner, if you do not include the dealer. I do have the original owners name and phone number and spoke to him just after I purchased the vehicle. It now has 146,300 miles on it. I just replaced it with a 1 ton 4x4, and I have a musclecar project so to my displeasure it has to go. Buy it, fly here, and drive it home to anywhere where there is a road, paved or not. It is extremely reliable and has never had a major breakdown or left me sitting along the side of the road since I have owned it.
As for the description I will do my best to give you all the info you need. There will be no surprises and I will disclose everything I know about it since I have owned it. Good or bad!
Option are as follows; canyon sport package, cruse control, tilt wheel, air condition, power locks, power windows, rear defrost, 4x4, automatic transmition, 3.54 gears, folding rear seat, roof vent, towing receiver hitch,
The good; It is a 93 which was the last year for this body. The suspension has never been altered in any way. Only slightly larger than factory tires have been used. 31-10.5-15 are on it right now. It runs pretty good for having 146,300 miles. I only drive 9 miles round trip to work each day. I have had it all over the country, this is where the real miles came from. It has a newer style fuel injection system like the early durangos and mid to late 90’s trucks. Same as my 2001. It is the large aluminum intake with 8 fuel injectors. I believe the 93 was the first year for this. This thing is a snowmobile and is an excellent four wheel drive. I have been amazed over and over again what it will drive through without being hard on it. Oil and oil filter is changed every 2,000 miles, ALWAYS. It does not smoke at all even when started. Just before I bought it in 99 I was told the transmition was rebuilt the correct way, unlike the factory did it and I have never had a problem with it. The only sensor I can remember ever having to replace is the crank position sensor on the transmition bell-housing. The axle housing make no noise and have little slop in them. Other than tires, brakes, and steering parts I can not remember anything else having to be repaired or replaced. If I do I will ad it. All the glass is good. I believe the spare is the original as I have only used it once in 9 years.
Now the bad. I am going to sound like I am picking it apart, but as I said no suprises. I have only driven it once every couple a weeks since I purchased my 1 ton back in May. Starts right up every time. As far as I can tell it has never been painted and it is starting to rust, as seen in photos. Real bad behind the driver door on the quarter panel. Other side looks good and both rear panels behind the rear wheels have evidence of rust spotting under the paint. And just a little on the doors. Paint on roof is almost non-existent as it is also on the tops of the fenders. The passenger fender is wrinkled. The hood is off of another truck. The front bumper is all bent up and not very pretty. The core support from an older dodge truck. Most of this damage is from an idiot pulling out in front of me and she got tagged. The ins. payoff paid for my divorce and I just patched it with what I had. Dent/crease in upper quarter and window trim on passenger side from a tree. Scratches and scuffs everywhere from taking it out in the woods. Tires are getting thin on tread. The carpet is a little worn and but looks decent. The driver seat has a bad spot on the left side. Both front seat backs have tilting issues. There is a small rip in carpet in cargo area. Normal scratches and scuffs inside from use. Supprisingly the headliner looks really good. Needs mufflers “again”, from the short drive to work. Needs rear brakes in a bad way, so bad the emergency brake barley keeps it from moving. Park quit working years ago. I have ben told there is a piece of metal that physicaly locks the gears in the tranny that can break off and then it will free wheel in park, So the parking break needs to be used when it is in park. There is a fuse that was by-passed before I got it. I think it is for the power windows and blower motor because they will work without the key. Never looked into it because they work so why mess with it.
Like I said I would trust driving it anywhere as far as you want, If you can afford the fuel. When my wife drove it for a month she got 15.7 miles average a few years ago. I never seen that kind of mileage but she drives like she is 90.
Feel free to ask any questions and I will answer to the best of my ability. Good Luck.
