My name is Doug & I will be happy to answer any questions from interested bidders. This is an 01 Ram 2500 "ex-chp". It was used by the California Highway Patrol for pulling over big rigs & other large commercial vehicles. I'm only selling it to buy a Mustang I recently located. I'm taking a major loss on it. I purchased it in 11/07 directly from the CHP. It was painted just before I bought it. Everything works, cold ac, lights etc.I put new tires on it when I first purchased it. They have about 2,000 miles on them. The tires that were on it had even wear so I think the suspension is ok. The CHP does safety checks on these vehicles before they sell them. They also will make you aware of any problems they're aware of. I have purchased several of these trucks over the last few years & used them for my work trucks. They have been great trucks in my opinion. I inspected the brakes & they're about 85% on all 4. It has 4 wheel disc brakes with 4 wheel ABS. In 2/08 I put in new spark plugs & did a compression check. It has 140 to 145 PSI on all 8 cylinders. I recently changed the air filter. It runs excellent with plenty of power. The transmission shifts fine & the engine is strong with no misses or problems. The interior is clean with no rips or tears. The rubber floor mat is clean with no damage. There is absolutely no rust on this truck. The paint is nice & shiny. They're not high quality paint jobs, but will hold up if taken care of. It has minor dings & scratches,(it was a government vehicle after all). There's a few small holes on the top of the front bumper (see picture). There's also a small chip in the windshield (see picture with finger). It is equipped with a factory Heavy Duty Service package. This includes a 136 amp alternator,heavy duty cooling system, & transmission & power steering fluid coolers. The buttons are worn on the radio (see picture). Lastly, one of the side doors on the shell won't stay open on it's own (a very minor fix). It doesn't leak anything & it will pass any states emissions tests. It has a clean California title (says prior police). It is registered until 1/09. Please don't call to ask for the reserve. Do a Kelly Blue Book. My reserve is close to private party trade in value in good condition. By KBB standards, this truck is definitely in good condition. Please call Doug @ 916 612 9886 or 530 295 0986.
