The only V10 engine available outside of a Formula One Race car. (Car & Driver 1994) The first generation (1992-1995) of Dodge Viper's went on sale in 1/1992 as the soft roofed RT/10 Roadster. The centerpiece of the car was it's engine - as Sir William Lyons, creator of the legendary Jaguar sports car once said "An automobile is primarily an engine, so it must be architectuarally valid, it must astonish when the hood is opened"! He would have been pleased and perhaps even astonished then by the RT/10's magnificent power plant - the only V10 engine currently available other than a Formula One race car and mounted on what is believed to be the stiffest sports car chassis ever built which is responsible in part for the Viper's legendary remarkable handling characteristics in large part due to it's unparalleled torsional rigidity! The car was devoid of any luxuries at all. Along with the absence of exterior door handles, the vehicle lacked windows and even a roof. Although a soft top and hard top were available, it was designed primarily for outdoor vehicle storage only. In terms of interior space, the trunk was large enough for the rain cover and little else. Chrysler's purpose for the vehicle was clear in almost every aspect of it's construction, from the unyielding bolstering of the seats to the side exit exhaust that came with it's own disclaimer against passenger injury. Performance came first, creature comforts last if at all! Purchased and always serviced by original and only southern California non-smoking owner at 'Tuttle-Click Tustin Dodge' of Tustin, California on 1/9/1994 with all original dealer manuals, original purchase order, service manuals, 'Viper' owners videos, 'Viper' binder, original 1994 'Viper' trade magazine articles and original window sticker available. Always driven by retired and mature southern California owner and always garaged - babied all the way - never raced or abused and well maintained and serviced on schedule at the dealer. The original factory 'Viper Red' paint is in absolutely beautiful condition with no noticeable imperfections! Hardly driven on the freeway with none of the typical and virtually unavoidable freeway chips and pits associated with these low riding sports cars! The gray leather interior is in 'as new' condition with no signs of any wear. The car drives exactly like a well maintained and serviced ultra low mileage Viper should and must be driven to be fully appreciated and seen to be believed! The car drives exactly as the day it left the showroom floor with the engine having no oil leaks, the clutch and transmission shift as smooth as when new and the temperature always remaining cool. You will surely look long and hard to find a finer example of this exceptionally clean and increasingly collectable low production early years first generation models (one of only approximately 360 Viper owners since production in 1992 invited to the very first 'Viper Owner's Invitational' according to a letter from the Chrysler Corporation to the owner in 7/1994) This 1994 RT/10 Roadster with all it's available accessories, in the sporty roadster bodystyle for the ultimate exhilirating driving experience with 6 speed manual transmission and V10 power in this most striking of color combinations and with only some unbelievable 4K original miles is the perfect opportunity for the classic American car collector to add this choice Viper to his collection. Go on - you deserve it!! See what the pros say: "The most exciting ride since Ben Hur discovered the chariot, it's intended to go fast, hang onto corners and give everyone in sight, driver, passenger and bystanders a thrill that will make their day" - (Car & Driver 1994). "It's very American in the way it drives, so simple and easy and so powerful!" (Valentino Balboni - Official Test driver Lamborghini). "Torque is the Viper's calling card. Torque is the first and overiding sensation you have when you nail the accelerator. It is there, all at once, nearly all 450 pounds of it" (Automobile Magazine). "The Viper isn't about numbers. It's about unbridled emotion on wheels. It's about locomotion and the power to blast to 100-150MPH at will without breaking a sweat!" (Road and Track) "Nothing can really prepare you for the intensely physical experience of driving the Viper... In the end it's so damn exciting that nothing else matters" (Autocar & Motor) "Nothing you can drive packs the personality, makes the statement or snaps your neck like the Viper RT/10 - nothing at all!" (Motor Trend) "In my opinion the Viper is more just plain fun to drive than a $500,000 Ferrari. It's not supposed to be the world's most sophisticated sports car, just a 60's style all American performance car that'll put a grin on your face when you drive it!" (Carroll Shelby no less - former Le Mans winer and creator of the legendary AC Cobra racing cars and inspiration for the snake moniker 'Viper' name) For further information contact Pete through EBay.
