Vehicle Description
COMPLETE 1959 Edsel Villager 6 passenger station wagon! Only 5687 produced. This car is a unique find in that it has no body damage and all trim is intact. The paint is faded but in good condition. With the exception of a small ding in one tail light ring, surface scrapes on the back bumper and a crack on top of the front collar, all exterior chrome is in great shape. A few surface rust spots around fenderwells, but floor and under carriage are solid with no major rust.
The dash face and instrument panel are complete and near perfect, but the vinyl dash pad is split and warped. Other than a tear in the drivers area, the front seat back, and the entire back seat are in great shape. The vinyl on the seats and the door panels cleaned up really nice with a bit of elbow grease. The rear wagon section was originally vinyl covered but that vinyl has cracked and pealed up throughout. The headliner is in good shape except a hole at the very back. The carpet is pretty dried up and will need to be replaced. The interior color is a salmon/white combination with brown carpet.
All glass in the back wagon area is good, including the back hatch. Both rear door windows and the front passenger window are cracked. There is a crack from top to bottom in the center of the windshield. Car has a split tailgate, with glass lifting up when the tailgate is dropped. The other four doors are solid, but three of the four do not latch. The tires are old and cracked but hold air, and the spare tire appears to be original and the rims all match.
This 50 year old car has just over 103,000 miles on it's 361 V8 engine. The engine is locked up and the car will need to be trailered. This a great start for a restoration as original or a little work for a great daily driver! It has a lot of personality and has that natural patina look that people are paying professionals to re-create!
