Here is a car overhauled specifically for the driving enthusiast. We bought it as
a non running car in need of and engine overhaul so we did a thorough engine
rebuild with a complete valve job with new valves, new chains, forged JE pistons,
bearings, oil pump, water pump, on and on. The starter and alternator were
overhauled, a new correct style flat fin radiator core was installed and all new
Stainless Steel water pipes were fitted. Even the coolant expansion tank was
replaced with a new one. All this work was done late summer/fall 2007 and the car
has about 1000 miles since this work was completed.
While the engine was being worked on, the brake calipers, master cylinder and
booster were overhauled, new hoses fitted and a new steering rack was installed.
We installed new synchronizers in the transmission and replaced any bearings that
showed wear, specifically the differential carrier bearings and input bearings.
After running the engine on a test stand we installed it into the chassis to find
that it was the smoothest Dino engine that we have experienced, it does not leak
oil and makes great power.
The suspension was not overhauled but it is supple and compliant with no clunking
noises or squeaks.
The carpet in the interior and trunk have been replaced in wool with New heel
pads. Otherwise the interior is original and nice with leather Seating surfaces.
The paint is old and could use some detailing in the edges but as you Can see
from the photos, it is very presentable. I have many photos of the undercarriage
so look me up at www.rpmvt.com and click on the email link. I am happy to send
along more detailed photos of the car.
The car is currently on a clean West Virginia title. I can help ship The car to
any location, even overseas so please feel free to ask me for assistance. If you
are within the lower 48 states I would suggest driving it! The car is currently
located in Vergennes, Vermont.
