1981 Ferrari 308 rolling shell perfect candidate for SHO or other engine install!
- NO drivetrain!!! None, nada, zip, zero
- I bought this car before Xmas as a project to make a 4wd Targa car (long story, and yes there is a way inexpensively to do so!!) things have radically changed in my life. The cars are still in INDIANA and I have to pick them up (unless they are sold this way and you can arrange pickup). Either way, there will be a clean title (I am promised) on the one with the engine fire. The other shell is actually from Ferrari and worth over 22000 from them!! And then the hood is worth over 6000 so you could just part this out in fact if someone wants to buy parts instead of the whole car, email me direct at parallax@vianet.ca
- There are 2 shells, one on a wooden cart which is the “good” car and one on a steel cart which is the “parts” car The vin tag stays with the good one and there is a vin tag for the other car it is partial as typical for Ferrari as this is a “replacement” part (the whole doghouse) and in theory you put your old vin number on it to complete (the last 6 digits)
- Removable top is there, missing one guide pin
- anyway, new windshield, good glass in doors, no trim for glass
- no rear or ¼ windows, no wipers, no wheel liner up front, no spare, no rad overflow, no rad (has mounts),
- no interior other than what you see
- have wiper motors and arms, need switches for power windows (motors in doors)
- missing front and rear valences and bumpers (I have a line of good “takeoffs from people converting their 308 to a 288 gto
- suspension is there but off to clean up
- floor pan of parts car needs to be transferred
- dash in parts car needs to be recovered, vents are melted a bit
- steering column and connections on parts car, as well as inner fenders
- most ducts, diverters valves etc. there
- a fiero “parts” car is available to fill in those missing needs (headlight buckets and covers, all exterior lights, wiring, etc.
- have a line on a Porsche boxer transaxle if you want to install an SHO or other high performance engine
- What you see is what you get.
- I will work with you to either pick it up for you (at your expense) or arrange for you to pick up direct. All the stuff is in INDIANA right now but will be in ONTARIO within the next 2 months if not sold prior
- As this is an odd listing I am willing to work with the new owner to ensure you do get everything I was going to get if you want to make a “conditional” offer that is fine too (on seeing the actual stuff in Ontario or whatever works for you, I am easy to work with IF we communicate!)

In INDIANA now but soon to be in Muskoka, (Cottage Country) 2 hours north of Toronto Ontario Canada, 4hrs from Fort Erie/Buffalo NY, 6 hrs from Detroit/Port Huron or Sault Ste Marie MI) on major hwys (interstate quality) so easy to access and travel. Can arrange shipping at BUYER’S cost

This vehicle is sold as is where is. Most have been stored for some time under car covers (not all). I will tell you as much as I know. "Caveat emptor". Ask questions first. I am a car lover BUT.... things have changed and I no longer have ANY time to play with the toys. All must go now. Subject to local sale so act now! Presume all must be towed. Bring a trailer to have a safe drive. I have an inexpensive but very competent mechanic who can get it ready for a long trip at your expense. Bid assuming shipping or towing
