Vehicle Description
1985 Ferrari Mondial Cabriolet Black with a red interior. 43,619 miles.USA production car. I have known this car for about 8 years, I sold it to one customer who then sold it on to friend and now I have it back here for sale. In that time, it has had a full major service done (work completed 7-12-05) by one of the best Ferrari only shops on the East coast and it has had other services done to the car as well. The car runs very well and shows nicely with nice shinny paint and very nice interior. The interior leather is nice and soft, the paint shows well on the outside. The car has a clean car fax report and receipts for all the service work. The car comes with an owners manual (not in great condition), a nice jack kit and some very nice after market floor mats. Also there is the top cover with the car. As the car sits it will need two rear tires, the top has two rips in it on the rear buttress section on either side. The car runs out well, but a compression test revealed that the car had the following readings 125, 90, 75,100, 115,120, 120,115.I think this is the result of carbon building up on the valves which means the head should probably be removed and the valvesl cleaned, the car does not blow smoke and it accelerates as good as any other mondial I have driven. The waterpump is leaking, The head gasket is leaking more oil than normal. The right rear stub axle should be replaced. Inspite of all this the car runs out well and drives well, you could probably drive this car for few thousand miles before having to address most of these issues. The reserve is set to reflect this and with major service having been performed in recent history, this car represents a good value.
