1992 Ferrari 512TR
A very nice example. Not a garage queen by any means. Very good condition. Has only typical minor flaws such as a few rock chips at the air intakes (front, mirrors etc are 3M protected), some seat bolster wear. Overall in better condition as what is to be expected. The car has books and tools and comes with a custom car cover. Mileage is correct. Tires are in excellent condition.
The 512TR is a true classic that has some modern features like a working air conditioning. This car was fitted with a full Pioneer stereo system with speaker boxes custom made behind the seats. The stereo provides an excellent alternative to the booming sound of the 12cyl engine.
The car received a full engine rebuilt at 24,000 Miles in 2003 and purrs perfect. No start up problems, no gear problems just overall a great driver.
The Bad:
There is a rock chip on the roof passenger side (see picture). There is obvious rock chips around the air intake scoops and of course behind the wheel wells. The front nose of the car, including half of the hood and mirrors are protected with Stongard film that is laser cut to fit the car. This means there are no rock chips on the front. It has been repainted before the film was applied and the color matches excellent. However, there is a little run off in the headlight well on one side (see picture). The drivers side fog light has a crack in it. (see picture)
The good:
Everything on the car works fine. There are no strange noises or malfunctions. The car has a power chip that gives a recognizable boost in power. I have driven quite a few and this one if faster than all the others. The car was parked and there are no oil drips after 24h. Full books including original pouch as well as the tool box are included with the car. A custom made car cover is also included.
A built in K40 radar detector is built into the car. Hidden away and warning lights built into the dash.
Full set of two Ferrari keys and remotes.
Equipment:
There is a custom Pioneer CD radio installed with all custom speakers hidden. There are additional speakers built into the dash (see pictures) as well as a perfectly fitting speaker and woofer box that fits behind the seats, covered in correct black leather. In fact I had to look twice to realize it was not standard.
Custom floor mats are in excellent condition.

We describe our cars as good as possible. We do however encourage you to come and inspect the car for yourself. We will allow Pre-Purchase Inspections PRIOR to the end of the auction. Our shop is available for any qualified mechanic to come and inspect the car in-house or we will have the car transported to your mechanic in the area at YOUR expense. Inspections hve to be pre-paid to your mechanic, including transportation costs before we allow the car to leave our showroom. Shops for the PPI have to be approved through us prior to the car leaving.
Transportation of the car to your home:
with rising gas prices it is getting harder to get transport quotes from enclosed carriers these days. Typically you should calculate $1200 to NY, about $1400 to Chicago and about $2200 to LA. We gladly assist you with finding the right carrier.
