I have been collecting various models of microcars for the past 15 years and accumulated too many cars so it is time to reduce the collection.I have many Fiat 500s in various conditions and you are welcome to come and check and compare for yourself.
This auction is for a 1966 Fiat 500 model F with 499cc engine with 2 cylinders and air-cooled. This is one of the first model F which is the model most sought after after the suicide door model D. The car needs a complete restoration, interior and exterior. It is complete, the engine is not running at the moment but it turns. The floors, rocker panels, inner panel need change. There is some various spots of rust through . As you can see from the pictures, this is a little more challenging project car. With the daily rise in the price of these particular model and the rise in Euro, it is getting more and more difficult to find these cars in good condition and reasonable price. This is an original car, never been restored, so you can see clearly all the work that is needed without the sometimes cheap restorations and paint done only for the purpose of resale. I have owned Fiat 500s since 1971 and I would be happy to assist the buyer with correct original restoration to the way that they looked in those years without mixing parts of different models. I have helped many to restore their Fiat 500s in the last 15 years.
Note: Due to the condition of this car and the extensive restoration needed, I urge anyone interested to come and see the car personally. I spologize that the pictures are a little dark,but I couldn't take out the car out of my garage due to the amount of snow this winter.
The car is located in Toronto. It is around an hour and half drive from Buffalo. If you fly to Toronto, I can pick you up at the airport. The car is located only 20 minutes drive from the ariport. I will assist the buyer with finding transportation if needed. Regarding the transport cost, please check with your local companies for estimates. If you can come and pick up the car personally, the size of the car is approximately 10feet long by 4 feet wide and 4 feet high and weighs 500kg. Please check the pictures carefully. The car is sold in the condition as is and there is no warranty. For US residents interested in buying the car, there is no problem to export from Canada to USA. The car has Ontario ownership.
