Up for auction is a 2000 Ford Contour Dual Fuel SE with 66,220 original miles. It can be ran on either CNG or gasoline with the hit of a switch. This car runs and drives like the day it left the assembly line. The 2.0 V-tech motor is very smooth and powerful. Average fuel mileage is between 29-32 miles per gallon depending on your driving habits. This car has a big advantage over a CNG only car because you can drive it on CNG all the time and if you travel to an area where there is no CNG, you can fill it up with gasoline. The CNG tank expires 9/2015.
Mechanically, the car runs excellent. The transmission shifts smooth and firmly. There are no leaks from the engine or transmission. Within the last year, the car has had a new battery, front and rear brake job and four new Bridgestone radial tires. The steering is tight and responsive. All power accessories such as, AC, cruise, rear defrost, PW, PL, power mirrors, etc. work excellent. The interior is remarkable. This is a non-smoker car. There are no holes or tears or cracks. The only notable flaw in the interior is the stain on the carpet behind the passenger seat where someone must have spilled a small amount of red juice or soda as shown in photos. The exterior is very sharp looking. It has the normal dings, dents and scratches that a car of this age and mileage would have. It appears that the left side doors and rear quarter panel were repainted and the quarter panel has some body work done. I am including many photos of the car's exterior so that you can see exactly what I am talking about.
The car has factory installed key fob system. It also comes with original owners manuals and factory floors mats. The spare tire and jack is also included.
As with any of my auction, I did my best to describe this car's condition. I welcome anyone interested to come look and test drive, or email me with questions. This car is sold with no warranty and is sold as is, where is. Buyer must make shipping arrangements and pay all shipping costs. I am willing to work with buyer in getting car to a shipping depot.
