Vehicle Description
1999 Ford F250 Diesel, Lariat Package, 6 Speed. Leather interior, Captains Chairs, Passenger side Air Bags, 6-way Drivers seat. Trip computer. Power trailer mirrors. Trailer package. Limited slip differential. Boost and EGT gauges. I average 20-22 when empty and 14-15 pulling my 7500 lb trailer. Two NEW 1000 amp batteries. Donaldson Air Filter and 3 1/2 inch exhaust. Anti-slip matt in the bed. Comes with a color matched cap.
I Ordered this truck from my local dealer in Manassas, VA. I got it the way I wanted. I have put 216,XXX miles on it towing a 16 ft cargo trailer to motorcycle shows and rallys. The maximum towing capacity of the F250 is 14,000 lbs. The max load on the trailer was 7500 lbs. Way under the maximum it could handle. It's been babied it's entire life. I have only used AMSOIL since the second oil change. AMSOIL in the engine and trans. And I keep a Cam Position Sensor in the glove box.
What's been done to it in 216XXX miles.
At about 85XXX I had the front end worked on under warranty. They replaced the tie rod ends and some other work. At 140XXX miles the pilot shaft bearing went and took out the clutch and input shaft bearing. I had a new bearing and clutch put in and replaced the bearings in the trans as well. At about 205XXX miles the Cam Position Sensor went in New Mexico and I changed it out on the side of the road. There is another one in the glove box that goes with the truck. At 215XXX the rear main seal started leaking and the seal and clutch was replaced. This time with a aftermarket clutch pack that included a very soft clutch. Before it was a chore to drive in stop and go traffic. But now it's as light as my Ranger. What a difference.
I and the business have moved to Arizona and are no longer doing shows and rallys. I no longer need the truck. It's in excellent condition. I have taken very good care of it.
Now the BAD: The "chrome" on the front grill is flaking off. After all it's plastic. There on ebay for about $80.00. Yea, thats it. No more bad.
