Up for auction is this 1971 Ford 350 Step Van
This truck was made specifically for selling Good Humor Ice cream bars out of through the street vending concept back in the 70's. With a litte grooming this truck is ready for the streets. Turn key little business!!! Would also be great for carnivals, fairs, or just a hobby truck!
The owner of this truck ran an ice cream business out of it by driving around and stopping to sell ice cream bars on the street. He had to give it up for health reasons. This truck is in good to great shape considering its age. There are no known problems and is ready to go to work.
The body is heavy duty and made of steel, again designed this way to withstand the nature of the street vending business. Has very little rust on it, actually is just spotted in places. The paint looks as though was painted a couple times. Owner is unsure. The colors now are blue and white.
The tires are fairly new (about 90%) and it has new front brakes.
The inside is also made of heavy duty steel The freezer is made by Hackney. Hackney is one of the number one brands and well known for making great quality freezers. Today, you can't get one made for less than $10,000 (so I'm told). This freezer works, But does need recharged. The compressor is made by Copeland. It measures 5 foot. Has four doors on the top. All original. The doors seals are dried and peeling, will need replaced.
The driver's seat is original. The music box, loud speakers, and horn are all original and still work. It has a built in money box fastened on the floor. The owner says, he never opened it and does not have a key for it. On the front floor area, there is an engine access cover/lid, so you can do maintenance work or look at the engine.(see photo).
Here are some facts:-Automatic transmission-New tires-New brakes-Rims are ok.-6 Cylinders-Not inspected-Miles Unknown says, "exempt" on title due to the year.
Winning bidder is responsible for picking up the vehicle or arranging shipping/delivery.
Payment needs to be with 7 days of auction end. A $500.00 deposit need paid within 48 hours of auction end. Balance needs paid by cash or certified check.
This vehicle is for sale sale locally and this auction may be pulled at anytime if it sells locally.
