Vehicle Description You've seen the "barn" or "garage" finds on ebay..how about the "back yard under the old canvas" find?! It's a completely original 1966 Fairlane GTA S-Code, red on red--was last registered in 1978--still has '76 bi-centennial plates! The car had sat since then with a tarp over it which had partially rotted away. It is totally complete, unmolested,it even has the after market 8-track....missing just the distributor, which I discovered they had broken off down inside the block. I also discovered the cause--they hit something REAL hard with the oil pan-bending the pump pickup which I believe bound up the shaft. So I think they just gave up on trying to repair it and threw a tarp over it. From the firewall forward the engine area, aprons, battery tray, etc. are in great condition (see photos). The areas damaged from sitting--trunk area, roof, quarters, floor pans, again, see photos. At one time the left front fender and the deck lid were replaced. There are 3 styled steel wheels, I believe to be original for the car. My plan was to re-body with a clean shell and use the front clip of the S-code, but I have too many projects and not enough time. I am also in the process of applying for a clear Michigan title for the car. If you are really serious about this car and need more information, please feel free to call me at my home (evenings please) 517/726-0595, or email me. Please, no tire-kickers or dreamers! We are requesting a $500.00 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours of end of auction. Pick up only, within 14 days--along with balance due. I can help you load the car. There is a reserve, no buy it now price. Thanks and happy bidding, bustedknucklebob.
