Vehicle Description
This is a 1989 Ford Festiva. It is in running condition but probably could not become a daily driver without some work. It passed the Virginia State inspection in 2005 but has not been driven since August 2005, when I got a new car.
Since then, I have started it regularly to make sure it still runs and it has never had any problems. However, the brake fluid has somehow drained out, meaning at a minimum the buyer would need to have the brake fluid replaced...and more importantly, the car could not be driven from my house, it will need to be trailered.
This car gets about 42mpg in highway driving and about 30mpg in city driving.
It is set up for air conditioning, but it does not work. Also, there is no radio or speakers.
The top end of the engine was rebuilt about 15,000 miles ago, other recent repairs include changed transmission fluid and new rear bearing.
Both front axles were replaced at 100,000 miles due to bad CV joints.
New windshield 5,000 miles ago.
See video of car running at YouTube.
