1929 Model A Ford Extended Cab Pickup with short bed. There is storage behind the seat with room for a spare tire, tools and luggage. Engine runs good and uses no oil, nor does it smoke. Standard 3 speeds forward, 1 reverse, floor shift. It has mechanical brakes and parking brake...as original. I am not really sure what the mileage on this car is, the speedometer is not connected. The inside cable is missing and has been since I bought the car. We bought this Model A in the 1970s and someone had cut the back of the body off with a torch just behind the rear window and they stuffed a Model A pickup bed between the rear fenders and shoved it up to the front seat and bolted it down. We drove it like that until a couple of years ago because it was handy to have a small pickup. However we did not like the "ratty" look so we took it to a car customizer and had him make the cab look like a real 5 window pickup and then we had him shorten the bed and fit it to the fenders. As it is now we have storage behind the seat that sealed from the weather and hidden from view. [One photo is of the truck before we had the body customized.] We had him get all the lights and turnsignals working with 12vDC and to do this and keep the battery charged we installed an alternator. The iginition is stock with "voltage drop" to 6vDC. We also installed one of those new leakless water pumps and we had the radiator cleaned and the gas tank cleaned, but this car does not overheat when you drive it. As most tall people know, these Model A Fords do not have enough leg room and the seats are not adjustable. However you could take the package tray out and put in different seats or just move the existing seat back. We like driving it as is but someone else might like to make a street rod out of it. There are a lot of little dings and dents in the fenders and top, so it will take a lot of hard body work to get a shiny paint job on this car. Plus most of the chrome needs to be replaced or replated. It needs new upholstery and I was planning to cover the top with vinyl (as many Model A Fords have). I usually keep the seat covered with a blanket but I removed it so that you could see the actual seat and it lack of good upholstery. The car does not leave here until it is paid in full and I have the "cash". The winning bidder should pay $300 immediately via PayPal. It has a clear Michigan title and I currently have a historic plate with insurance so that I can drive it anytime. Serious buyers are welcome to call me at 517.206.3206 and arrange to drive the car. I have an enclosed trailer and am willing to deliver the car in it (for a price) "but only in good weather". I don't drive that rig on slippery roads...repairs would be too expensive. We are offering the car For Sale in USA only as it is less hassle with fraud that way. On Dec-03-08 at 14:41:15 PST, seller added the following information: Just a bit of information....We have owned this 80 year old Ford pickup for more than 30 years and have a pretty good idea of what such cars are worth that run this good and are this much fun. It will take $10,000-$15,000 to buy this car. If it sells during this auction with 60+ people watching that is good but otherwise it will sell locally. Think about it ...how often can you buy a car for less money that runs good, is licensed and insured and driven regularly and...it is a very collectible car! Model A Fords are easy to work on and drive.
