Vehicle Description
This truck was a service truck for a Ford dealer in the town of Milligan, Nebraska. At one time it had a tow boom in the back of the bed. It was owned by this dealership from the time that it was new until the sixties. It still has the Ford V8 emblems painted on the doors to advertise the new Ford V8. I am selling it for the second owner. As you can see it needs total restoration. It was last started in the early 1970's by the current owner, since then it was in a storage building. I flushed the engine crank case and put new oil in, new spark plugs, cleaned the points. Still holds water in the radiator and block. Gas tank is clean. I put fresh gas in the tank. Starter needs to be rebuilt. Pull started it quit easily with my tractor. Does not smoke or knock. Has a little crankcase blow by. Ran it for an hour with no problems. It could use new points and a carberator cleaning. Tried all the gears and they work fine. The tires do not hold air very long. The metal in the floor and the bottomof the cab is NOT rusted out. There are some stress cracks in the bottom of the cab but not bad, the cab is good shape for its age. The doors open and close good but the top wood needs to be replaced. The front top header of the cab IS rusted through.
