Vehicle Description 1930 Model A Ford Hot Rod Project Ebay cancelled my previous auction of this project for bullshit reasons. SO I AM RELISTING IT. And I dropped the reserve to $5000. I am regretfully selling this project because I honestly do not know when I would ever have time to finish it. I have 2 small kids and they come first. So heres' your chance to get a mostly complete set of parts and equipment to build a hot rod in your style. Some of the work has been done, but it is pretty much a blank canvas. Drop her lower, build it as a high-boy, whatever. Full paint and body work, flat black, raw steel? Thats all up to you. Win this auction and finish this car! Included in this project: All original steel 1930 Model A Ford Sport Coupe: body (in very good condition I have patch panels for all of the usual spots, the body is mostly straight but may need more work depending on your taste), rumble seat/deck lid with rumble hinges, doors, engine hood with side panels (all hinges move smoothly), firewall, cowl tank (perfect shape, could be used for fuel), stainless grill shell (some minor tearing at base, one small dent at top), original Model A radiator, dash rails, door sill trim, rear roll pan. (No fenders or running boards, roof and doors have been cut down into roadster style, windsheild posts cut down and slanted back approx 10 degrees.) Model A frame, fully boxed from the horns to the rear cross member, rear stepped 4 inches. Spreader bar welded into front of frame horns. I can send additional pictures of all work done so far if you like. Just e-mail me and I will shoot them over to you. Chassis parts: Original Model A rear spring. New front end (parts purchased from Speedway Motors, all part are plain steel):Magnum 4" drop I-Beam axle, Posies slide front spring with reversed eyelets, U-bolt kit, adjustable spring perches, bat wings, 27" hairpins with hardware, upper and lower shock mounts, reproduction '39-40 Ford spindles with kingpin kit, reproduction '39-40 Ford hubs, '66 Buick 90-fin drums CNC drilled precisely to match 5 on 5-1/2 hole pattern, control arms. I also have a set of 4 -16" steel rims that will need to be blasted and balanced. Driveline: Freshly re-built Ford 390 motor with matching C6 tranny. 53” wide GM rear end Engine Rebuild included: complete disassembly, block sand blasted painted with heat treated gloss black paint, mic-ed heads for warpage (results okay), Honed cylinders .40 over, port matched manifolds, block was fitted with new cam bearings, new crank journal bearings, all new seals and gaskets, new freeze plugs, new timing chain, new water pump, new distributor. Heads were fitted with new oil seals, and received a 3-angle valve job, and re-ground seats. Any bad valves were replaced. Other New parts: Aluminum headlight stanchions, Offenhauser swing style throttle pedal with cable linkage, Wilwood swing style brake pedal with dual master cylinders, 11 Gal spun aluminum fuel tank with electronic fuel pump, custom built structural roll bar, front and rear radius rod mounting tabs, rumble seat/deck lid locking handle kit. Other Old parts: Original Model A instrument cluster with bezel, '56 Ford F-100 steering column/box/wheel spinning smoothly, modern floor mount shift linkage, '53 Chevy parking brake handle, 3" Lucas Electric taillights, '37 Ford deck lid hinges, pair of mid '60's Ford Econoline bucket seats, unknown steering wheel and rear view mirror, early 70's Cadillac 4-barrel 650CFM carburetor. Title: I have no title or plates or paperwork on this vehicle! When I purchased the car there was no existing registration or documentation. The vehicle had been unregistered since the late 70's. It should be quite easy to run the ID # stamped on the frame rails through the DMV and aquire new documents through a salvage type of registration. If you have any questions at all please dont hesitate to contact me. I can send additional pictures of whatever you would like to see more of. I am willing to deliver this project to either the Bay area (SF) or the LA area, for the cost of gas and maybe lunch. Shipping anywhere outside of that range will be the buyers responsibility. Before bidding: I will require a minimum seller rating of 10, and a deposit of 50% within 3 days of end of auction, full balance within 10 days of end of auction. Preferred payment will be money order or certified check. I would prefer to not use paypal, but if that is your only means of payment I contact me and let me know BEFORE bidding. Thanks for checking out my project! I wish I wasn't selling it but I just dont' have the time to work on it. I would rather see someone else get her on the road. This project is for sale locally and I do reserve the right to end this auction early. Once the auction passes reserve I will not end it early.
