Vehicle Description
1928 FORD Model AA - 33,000 original miles! 1928 Ford Model AA Truck 3-speed / 2-speed auxiliary transmission Original hand-crank grain dump box (works great!) No rust All good glass and top
This is a great chance to buy a good, original Model AA that does not need to be pieced together. The only reason I am listing it as a salvage vehicle is due to the lack of paperwork.
This truck spent its entire life with one family in the Northwood, ND area. It was always shedded and was put away in the mid-70’s, when the original owner’s son retired. I bought the truck in 2007. After changing the fluids, hooking up a battery, installing new ignition points, re-building the carburetor and cleaning the fuel tank, it started right up.
The motor runs very nice and smooth, as do the clutch and transmission. I was not able to fully test drive it due to its lack of brakes. The owner had thrown out the seat due to its poor condition (mice-damage) when it was hauled out for auction. It will need a replacement seat, brake work, tires, exhaust and some wiring to be road-worthy again
The body is in excellent, rust-free condition. It still wears the original blue paint and you can still see the faded, light blue pin striping as well. Even though the motor has an Otwell Health Heater mounted, the firewall was never cut for it to duct into the cab. The glass and window regulators are in great condition. The black grille shell was standard on commercial chassis. The original “FORD” script headlamp lenses are intact as is the original key. The hand-winch grain box is in great shape and operates much easier than I expected!
Remember, this was a work truck, but was well maintained and was ALWAYS kept indoors. The truck is located in Grand Forks, ND. and will need to be picked up there. We can start it up and drive it up on your trailer.
If you need additional pictures or have question, please contact me. This is a rare chance to buy a good running, non beat-to-crap original truck.
The title was lost, but I have the notarized paperwork from the owner to obtain a duplicate title. A deposit of $500.00 will be required within 7 days of the end of the auction. Free short-term storage can be arranged after the sale.

A fellow EBAY'er has pointed out a couple of details that I wanted to add to the description. The lower hinge on the drivers door is broken, causing the door to not pull in as tight as it should. The door it not broken, just the hinge.
In addition, both front fenders have fatique cracks in the normal Model A place, right at the top of the wheel arch.
I appreicate being remined of these things, as my goal is for everyone to end up happy. I am doing my part, now you do yours and bid!
