Up for bid 1930 Ford Model AA
No Reserve, will sell to highest bidder!
This is an extremely well preserved truck for its age. I have owned this truck for ten years, and used it occasionaly for my landscapeing buss. for a few years. It now gets driven occasionaly around the block with the kids. Please take the time to read my description and I will honestly describe everything I can. If the picts. don't say it all, please don't hesitate to call me. I will be more than willing to set up apts to see in person and even test drive.
The Body: The head light bar and buckets are not og. they are chrome as well as the radiator shell. Nice chrome bumper but no rear bumper. This body is in great shape, she has many layers of paint that has preserved her very well. NO major damage or rust, rot. Very minimal surface rust under fenders. No other signs present. Right fender has a small crack 1" on edge (see photo). Left fender had crack repaired at some time but never finished (see photo). No major dents on either fender and by the underside I would say never been hit. There is a protective coating under both fenders but is now peeling ( see photos) little surface rust. Left lower cowl and left door bottom was replace some time ago and never finished. Rest of body very very solid, running boards etc.
Bed: The bed measures 6'6" x 6'6".The bed is solid oak and is in good condition. There is three boards that need replaced.
Suspension: This truck has the desired short wheel base and measures 131". The tires are almost new with 97% tread left and new tubes. I am missing one lock ring for one tire! She has mechanical brakes that work great with no pulling or grabing. The e-brake works great but could use an adjustment. It drives straight, and has newer front end (king pins etc) The steering wheel dose have some play, may need box adj.? The leaf springs (16 per side) and bushings look great. I have hauled three pallets of wet sod and she road like a cadillac, when empty she feel like a real truck. All wheel bearing seem fine. Last month, I was driving and the speedo cable broke, but I know the guage works fine.
Drive train: Motor fires right up, even after sitting a while. There is no smoke, but seems to be running rich. I just put a new carb on, but could use a tune up, timing adj., and probably the dist. rebuilt. Recently I installed late model points and plates. Just put in a new 12 volt starter, has 12 volt alt., 4 blade fan. The trans works good (4 speed). The radiator holds water but is dirty, needs flushed. The water pump leaks from packing. Also I noticed fuel gauge wasn't working (stuck float?).
Elect: 12 volt with alt., all lights work, head lights, tail, brake, including horn. Missing wiper motor but vacume hoses present.
Interior: There is no rust visibly anywhere in cab, under seat and door bottoms look great. The doors shut as they should. All glass is great but the back is cracked. Door windows work great but go up a little hard because of new felt. Has new side view mirrors, and decent rear. Seat is in excelent shape, springs vinyl etc. Carpet and door panels are not og but are presentable. In side wood in decent shape. The vinyl top has tear, batting and under material needs replaced but the bows are good.
I have a clear CA title in hand. Truck has not been registered in seven years so is out of system, easy reg, no back fees. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping. I will assist shipper in any way I can. Vehicle and title will not move until all moneys have cleared my bank, I prefer cash!

A 500.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end. The remainder due within 7 days of auction end, unless other plans are made. If deposit not made or remainder not paid buyer will forfeit deposit and truck relisted. So please contact me asap after auction end. I can also store truck for a short time.
