1989 Mustang LX 5.0 Please read this auction thoroughly and review the pictures I provided, if you have questions please ask. I bought this car a month ago tagged and insured it, took it for a ride to find the AOD transmission will not stay in 3rd or overdrive. The winner of this car will need to tow it from Williamstown NJ. The car will make an excellent parts car, the motor feels strong and builds good oil pressure. Driving the car I didn't notice any pulling knocking etc. All the accessories (lights horn turn signal wipers etc) work
However if you buy the car with intent to fix and drive it a couple things to mention:
1). There is a set of BBK shorty headers and a BBK aftermarket H pipe, one tail pipe has rotted out of the muffler, you may need to find an exhaust with cats to get it through inspection in your state.
2).The rubber tube that comes from the smog pump has a hole in it, it will need to be replaced.
3).The car will also need as I mentioned another transmission, I have an AOD that is included with the auction.
4).Will need a Smog pump, I may be able to provide one before the end of the auction
5).It will need at least two tires to pass inspection
6). The air cleaner box needs to be hooked back up.
7). The car will be sold without a battery.
8).The Driver seat leans and the ashtray door flops down
9). The driver side door will need a bushing, you have to pull up on it to shut it
10). There is rust(mosly surface) along the lower body line the floors are solid
