Rare and Collectible Limited Edition Mustang - 1 of 2019 built. This Limited Edition convertible known as the "Summer Special" Convertible was released mid-year as a 1992 1/2 model. All 2019 of the Summer Specials were painted "Vibrant Red", a color only available for this car, had white tops and were only available as a 5.0-liter V8 with either a T-5 five-speed manual or the 4-speed automatic (an $850 option new). This car is an automatic. The package also includes Color Keyed side mouldings, mirrors, door trim and windshield frame while the trunk luggage rack was deleted and a rear spoiler was added. The 5 spoke 16x7" wheels were specially prepped by Superior Wheel Company by applying an opal pearlescent paint over silver making the wheels white to compliment the white top and interior. The interior itself was also upgraded with white leather seats with black piping, black carpet, white door panels, white convertible boot top, and ebony dash, a black Lori cloth headliner (which was a first for a Mustang) and a glass rear window.
Original California car with a clean Car-fax and original 96,900 miles. No mechanical issues, a beautiful car that runs and drives great and passes smog checks with flying colors! I had the automatic transmission rebuilt with heavy duty bands, components and shift kit at 88,800 miles due to a slipping overdrive band. Ice cold A/C, cruise control, power doors, windows, mirrors, steering, brakes and top. 4-way adjustable seats with power lumbar in both driver and passenger seats. AM/FM/CD player with amp and bass box in trunk. The car was acquired from an old neighbor of mine in 2001 who knew I had other Mustangs. She bought it in 1997 and always kept it garaged. Car was repainted in early 2007 and the only flaw is a hard to see quarter sized blemish where a door ding was repaired on the driver side rear quarter panel below the driver side back seat window. Car is driven to local car shows and occasional weekend cruises but otherwise sits covered up. Leather seats are original and showing some minor signs of wear but have no tears or split seams. White top is in great shape but discolored due to exposure to the elements.
