Vehicle Description
You are bidding on a very Unique, One of a Kind Hot Rod. The body is a cut down 1948 Ford F-1 Pick-Up. It was cut at the belt line and an additional 3-1/2” was removed from the bottom. Its channeled 6” over the frame. The custom built 2x3 frame has parallel leaf springs front and rear. The rear end is a Ford 9” with 4.11 gears and a mini spool. The front axle is a 4” dropped tube axle from with Econoline spindles and brakes. The Wheels are 15x4 and 15x10 slotted mags with 165R15 front tires and 285/70-15 Goodrich tires on the rear. The tie rod and drag link are new Speedway units. Now the fun part, the engine is a Ford 460 with an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and 650 Double-Pumper Holley carburetor, its cooled by an Aluminum Radiator from Summit, electric fan with a Custom built fan shroud. The engine has never gotten over 170 degrees even in the SE Colorado heat. The transmission is a Ford C-6 with a funky wrench shifter, Interior has comfortable seats with good leg room, three gauges and custom steering column. This custom built Hot Rod sits approximately 2-3/4” off the ground, so beware of the speed bumps and dips, power wise it hooks strong and has plenty of power to sit you back in your seat. This has been one of the most enjoyable projects he has ever built, people from little kids to seventy year old ladies love to rant and rave about it. It could easily be finished off as a nice Street Rod or left in the Rough, Cuz that’s enough Hot Rod----------------------------------------------------Anyone interested in looking at this car and are in the area, this saturday there is a "CRUISE FOR THE CURE" 1st Annual Poker Run, which is a car show in the Pueblo, Colorado area.
