Vehicle Description
Up for sale is a 1950 Ford F3 (F-3) pickup truck with a 239 flathead V-8 and manual 3-speed transmission. When I bought it a few years ago, I went through and fixed the brakes, rebuilt the fuel pump, cleaned out the gas tank, and got the truck where it would start, run and drive. However, it's been parked inside for the last two years, so the successful bidder should plan to trailer or tow this truck home. Truck was blasted and painted with red-oxide primer several years ago by a previous owner. There is now surface rust throughout with some small areas of rust-through in the usual spots, particularly around the fenders where they meet the bed. There are some dents in the top of the cab near the back and in the front of the bed. Wood in bed is rotted through. Front wheels are 5-bolt wheels off a 1945 ford truck. Rear wheels and axle are original. Seat needs to be completely reupholstered. Radio delete cover is missing, but I have the radio that came with the truck that I'll include with the auction. Also included is a nice spare three-speed transmission and an original Ford service manual for the vehicle. I've also got the chrome strips that belong on the hood. Just realized I failed to mention that drivers side window glass is missing. Window regulator, crank, etc. are there, but no flat piece of glass.
