We purchased this car a few years ago as a project for my Son. He's a Senior now, and more interested in gas mileage and seeing friends than spending weekends under a vehicle... GOOD When we purchased the car, the engine and transmission were sitting in it-but not mounted. After modifying some Ford 460 motor mounts, the 351C and ATX transmission are in and running. We installed a BM shifter, reconditioned 2 bbl carb, electronic distributor, GT hood, new battery, dual exhaust ($500), new tires, radiator, dash cover and I have a BUNCH of parts that will go along with it (a new front bumper, spare glove box, motor mounts, air shocks, etc.). The original hood was weak and had a bend in it-but I would include that as well-buyers choice. I also have all the chrome for the bed. The hideaway headlights work just fine... NOT SO GOOD We were towing the car around my garage to work on it, and I (my fault) pulled the passenger door across the front bumper of my motor home-so there is a bad scratch in it. There is rust under the floor pans in the cab, some in the bed, and just a bit that I noticed on the tailgate. The previous owner modified the heater so that it runs off of a separate knob in the dash. The driver's door handle doesn't have an exterior button (???). There are no working gauges-it doesn't have power steering, so it takes a bit more effort to turn than I'm used to. The seat that was in it when we bought the car was too big (couldn't close the doors!), so I bolted in two buckets that came out of a Toyota. That should about cover it. I'm currently using the Ranchero for trips to the hardware store, and to the dump once in a while. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns, this car is sold "as is" and is being offered as a Local Pick-Up. A payment of $500 is expected within 48 hours of auction closing-I accept PayPal.
