Vehicle Description You are bidding on a 1977 FORD RANCHERO GT. It has a 460 V8 engine, police interceptor. The car has been sitting for four years, but I crank it occasionally. The powerful engine still has its thunderous sound. I have not attempted to drive it because there is a tiny, slow gas drip on the front right corner of the huge carburator. The body of the car is showing small rust spots in the usual places such as underneath the rear quarter panels. I would also recommend the spray-in bedliner for the back part as the paint is scratched from hauling things in the past. The paint looks o.k., but someone wanting to totally restore the car would have it re-painted. It has maroon and black stripes down the sides of the car. The interior seat is beautiful. it is maroon and white stripes but there is one seam in the driver's seat that the thread is torn, about 5 inches. dash, interior door panels, seat belts, etc., have faded a bit over the years, but overall the interior is good. I know very little about this car as it belonged to my uncle now deceased. I recall his love of the engine, which is why he kept the car so long. A Ranchero enthusiast would know more than I do, but with a little work, it can be restored to its original grandeur. I just added more photos. The two pics that show the body rust, these are the worst two spots on the car. There are some small pin-head rust areas around the front windshield and a few on the back tailgate, but i could not get it to show up on pictures. If you can handle the two rust areas in the photos, the others are much much less. Also, i added engine photos. Some are with the carb. cover on and others show the carburator. Please email me with questions and I will do my best to answer them.
