Rare and hard to find 1983 Ford Ranger Diesel with the 2.2 L Mazda-Perkins diesel engine, It has a 4 speed, A/C ( it needs the compressor that was removed, and the 2 A/C hoses ) It runs very good, it starts at first try in any weather, I got it with a new paint job. I changed the oil ( 15w 40 delvac diesel oil ) and both oil filters as well as fuel & air filters. Boiled and serviced radiator and new antifreeze. new glow plugs, Good tires and chrome rims. Long bed ( 7 feet ) .Truck may need new mufler and brake booster Some rust on the floor boards area due to probably to a windshield leak . It makes 40 MPG and it can be converted to run on veggie oil or biodiesel if desired . This engines were built by Perkins ,for Mazda, it has timming gears, not belts or chains, so it doesn't brake and cause the end of the engine. these engines last for a long time since are industrial heavy duty diesels. Truck is not perfect but in good overall condition for a 25 year old truck, don't expect a new truck, be realistic, it may have details and issues that I ignore, but it has plenty of life in it and it will make someone very happy to drive this Diesel , The reason I sell it ,is that I bougth it for spare or to have extra parts for my other Ranger diesel ,but the truck is too nice to have it as a spare and it has plenty of life left. I will provide a bill of sale or I can get a new title for it ( for an additional $100, including shipping via Priority mail to you when new title arrives) but it will take 4 to 6 weeks. I have the title from the previous owner and he put my name on the back of it and I never titled it in my name and now I decided to sell it , so getting a new title is not a problem, just it will take a few weeks. I will include with a BIN sale only ,a copy of a factory / dealer manual and insert for 2.2 L diagnogstics, repairs and rebuilding, service -maintenance , 4 speed manual transsmission sercice-specs. Also with a BIN sale only I will get a new title for free for the new buyer, thanks Gus
