Vehicle Description I have an 1992 ford ranger 2.9 liter up for bid. It is an automatic and has a 6 cyclinder engine with 4 wheel drive. I bought it intending to make it into a mud truck but changed my mind now. It had some problems with it when I bought it, and most of them were taking care of. It was leaking oil from the valve covers, and also had a leak through the intake. It also had a leak in the radiator and I had a new one put in. I had new gaskets put on the valve covers and intake manifold. It has a fresh oil change, distributor cap, and new plugs put in. The tires on it are ok. The frame is a bit rusted, and the body is in decent shape. You can tell by some of the pictures I posted. Interior isn't bad, and has a Sony Xplod head unit in it. It has 103,780 miles. I bought this vehicle two or three months ago and have put around $500 into it. It also has an inspection sticker still on it from previous owner. THE DOWNFALL to this truck is that I keep changing the tranny fluid and it keeps leaking out. I did it myself and had a mechanic do it but for some reason, it keeps leaking. I can't really tell where it's coming from but when you put some fluid in it, it leaks out. The transmission does shift a little hard but doesn't slip at all. So I'm not sure what it could be but my loss is your gain. The truck is drivable but like I said, it does leak. So if you were planning on driving it to your location, I would recommend it not be far. If so, I would probably get it towed or something due to the leaking problem. There is an $200 non-refundable charge due after the purchase is made. It is to be turned in no later than 24 hours after the buy. If you win the bidding or buy it now, you bought the vehicle. No acceptions or returns, depending on situation. This vehicle is pickup only. No shipping. On Jul-21-08 at 11:10:05 PDT, seller added the following information: Also, don't mind my feedback. I got ripped off by someone who I was trying to buy a vehicle off of. They left me negative and I did the same to them. And, the leaking problem from the transmission is coming somewhere from the pan I think. I'm not to sure but it's somewhere in that area. I'm not to good mechanically with cars, besides doing the routine maintenance stuff. Just to let you know, the reserve is a good bit below that so whatever chance you want to take, it's your decision.
