Vehicle Description
Up for auction is a 1992 Ford Taurus with 109000 miles. It's red with a gray cloth interior and a V6 engine. The interior is clean and in good shape. It has a new belts and the alternator looks fairly new, like within 6 - 12 months, I am not positive. The belts look new and the spark plug wires look new. The car starts with no problems and is a good runner.
I did notice the right CV boot is torn. The CV joint does not feel like it has any pits or is damaged, although this should be replaced as soon as possible. Replacing the half shaft would be more cost effective and easier. I was quoted about $150 - $180. There is rust on the vehicle and in some spots rusted through. Please look at the pictures, I tried to show all the spots I could. The tires appear to be in good condition.
The brakes seem fine, although I have not inspected them myself. As I said, the car starts and runs good. As with any used vehicle it has the various dings. The left front quarter panel does have a dent (see picture).
I also have a Pioneer stereo that I will install back into the car. It is a Pioneer 45 Watt CD player. This car was purchased by my daughter and she no longer needs the car, (I actually bought a 2nd vehicle for myself), that she will be using for a while (and making payments to me for that car). She would just like to get what she put into it, which is a total of $750.00 (new baby and the disappearing father thing, just wants to start over), which is what the the reserve is set at. The left front turn signal lense had been broken. The light switch is missing the knob, like this since she got it. I am sure you can find the part at any salvage yard. The rubber liner of the top rear window is rippling as seen in the photo.
This car is being sold as is. I tried to list everything about the car as I could, I don't think I missed anything. The car must be picked up as we will not deliver. This would make a great work car or something to just get around in.
The car is also being sold locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction early.
Payment is expected within 7 days with a $150.00 NON-REFUNDABLE down payment at end of auction. I do accept paypal and prefer paypal or cash. If you have less than 10 feed back you must be at 100%, have a verified paypal account, and notify me PRIOR to bidding. I reserve the right to cancel any bid for any reason.
