1971 GMC 6500 V-SIX STAKE DUMP
5 SPEED MANUAL TRANS WITH 2 SPEED REAR
This truck was purchased for a total cost of $2000.00, 2 years ago, the owner then went blind from diabetes and detached retinas of which stopped it's use after only 2 trips to the dump. Owner, a friend, needs to sell, so I volunteered to do the listing. I drove the truck to my property approximately 3 miles. There must be an issue with the braking system, the fluid level was low, so I filled it. It doesn't show any leaking as far as I can see. It may be leaking into air assist unit, but stops real hard, LOL. Anyway the tare weight is 9100 lbs. and at the local scrap yard, at 13 dollars per hundred, just the scrap value is $1183.00 so we figured to start the bidding at $1,000.00. It would surely be a shame to scrap this hard working classic truck. If you can use it please bid on it and save it from the death jaws of the scrap yard. This obviously is a pick up only item in "AS IS" condition. I can let it sit here for 30 days or more depending on communications, at no charge!
