You are bidding on a 1999 GMC Jimmy SLT, V6, Black with 116k miles. The GMC Jimmy is in great shape and has been extremely well cared for, maintained, reliable and fun to drive!
The GMC Jimmy is loaded with every available luxury option including Full leather, 8-way Power seat(s), Automatic Air Conditioning (Works great) Information center, Automatic Head Lights, Automatic climate control, Heated mirrors, CD player, Power Steering, Windows, Locks, Mirrors, Seats, SunRoof.
The GMC Jimmy SLT is special because only the SLT comes with the following options that do not come on other regular model Jimmy’s, Blazer’s or Bravada’s. The GMC Jimmy SLT has All-time Automatic 4-wheel drive, (Senses when to engage 4WD) Heavy Duty towing package, Heavy Duty suspension, Tow/Haul shift button, (Raises all shift points by 1k RPM) Torsion bars for towing, (Keeps the SUV level and stable while towing) 4 wheel disc brakes, 4 wheel ABS, Heavy Duty Oil and Transmission cooler, Information center, (Ceiling council) Extra wide tires and a pre-wired 9 wire towing whip. The All-time Automatic 4WD drive is great because there is no switching from 2WD to 4WD “after” you needed it, (Oops!) you can leave it on all the time, for rain, snow or any slippery terrain.
Some people might not think they would need these options when buying a used SUV, but when it makes it safer to drive and has options to extends the life of the vehicle in all conditions and it’s loaded, isn’t that the point of buying a well taken care of used vehicle?
I was a mechanic for Mitsubishi's High Performance division in Illinois, so I love to make all my machines look and run awesome! This GMC Jimmy is completely stock, never had any engine rebuilds or wrecks and never been in an accident. The GMC Jimmy was always warmed up before we drove it in cold weather and has never gone “Off-road” and was never “Beat-on”. The GMC Jimmy’s does not burn or leak any fluids (See picture) and is a solid SUV. The alloy rims have never been hit, (See picture) it’s never been smoked in and there is no rust. This was our 3rd vehicle and was mostly used as our luxury vehicle for driving up north in winter to be safe. The GMC Jimmy has had all the fluids changed, Front and Rear gear lube, Transfer case fluid, Transmission fluid flushed, Brake fluid, New Tires, New Brakes, (Pads and Rotors) Full tune-up (Spark plugs, Wires, Cap, Rotor, Fuel filter) and all zerts greased regularly during oil changes. (Every 2500 miles) Just as preventative maintenance the GMC Jimmy has also had a newer Fuel pump, Battery, Exhaust, Ball joints, Monroe “Reflex” Shocks and suspension bushings replaced, Added a heavy duty trans cooler, Front Wheel hubs and Full tune-up. The GMC Jimmy is stored in a heated garage and I only use Castrol GTX High performance oil and 89-octane gas (Shell, Amoco or Mobile only, nowhere else - better quality gas) and a little Sea-Foam. I have replaced so many parts just as preventative maintenance, because I wouldn’t want to get stuck on the drive half way up north, so I figured do it early and not get stuck.
I wipe down the seat with a conditioner twice a year and wax the body as you can see in the pictures. The leather is in great shape, no tears, rips, wear marks or cracks due to I really take care of my vehicles. The pictures below of the GMC Jimmy is the condition it normally is in, we take pride in our cars. Please keep in mind that this GMC Jimmy is eight years old and does have a few scratches on it periodically as would be expected for an SUV of it’s age, basically, it’s not perfect but really great! We are selling this very well taken care of GMC Jimmy due to we bought one of our parents newer SUV off of them recently, but we really had no intention on selling this truck and will very much miss it. I have had 3 GMC Jimmy’s and drove the last two over 240k miles (As I was expecting to due with this one) without ever needing to replace an engine, transmission or any drive train. I haven’t had any accidents in any of the three and both of my older ones are still on the road today. You can feel confident that if your looking for a GMC Jimmy, Blazer or Bravada, this truck is the one you want.
The GMC Jimmy also comes with Clear CarFax report, Title, (Clear) Owners Manual, Original sales receipt and anything else I have for the car. The only negatives I can write about the GMC Jimmy is that there is a scatch in back about 6 inches long that had been touched up.
The GMC Jimmy was mostly driven to Wisconsin by the previous owner and us, and I just bought one of our parents newer SUV off of them recently, so now this is on E-bay.
