Vehicle Description
You are bidding on a 1997 GMC Safari SLE AWD Van. This vehicle has 169556 original miles. This is a 7-passenger model with two front bucket seats, two middle bucket seats and one rear bench seat. The bench seat folds down and it as well as the middle bucket seats are removable for just an amazing amount of room to carry just about anything. We purchased this van brand new in 1997 and its in very good overall condition. The color is called Cherry Ice with a dark red interior.
This van is well optioned with all the comfort and convenience items most people want. It has the optional "Dutch" rear doors, auto transmission, cruise control, power windows and locks, front and rear air conditioning, rear seat radio controls, AM/FM with cassette and CD player. There is a ceiling console with storage and electronic compass and thermometer.
Overall the van is in very good condition. It being 11 years old, there are some little parking lot dings here and there and paint chips. We have faithfully changed the oil every 3000-5000 miles using nothing but Mobil 1 since the van was new. Right now it seems to use about a ½ quart between oil changes. There are two areas that have some surface rust, under the passenger side headlight and along the passenger side rear wheel well. (See photos). Other then that, the van is rust free. Also the drivers side electric window needs to have the motor replaced. I have a brand new one that has never been installed and will be included with the van.
The tires have approximately 15000 miles on them. There are all brand new brakes front and rear. This was just done in the last couple of weeks. All new rotors, calipers, pads in the front and new shoes, drums and wheel cylinders in the rear.
TERMS OF SALE
An initial $500.00 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of auction end with the balance to be paid in full within 7 days of auction end. Deposit funds to be either cash via PayPal, US Postal Money Order or Certified Bank Check mailed overnight. Any certified checks will have to fully clear all banks prior to new owner taking possession which can take up to ten (10) days. So plan accordingly when you bid. You’re more then welcome to pick the car up in person as long as final payment is made in cash or US Postal Money Order.
Seller warrants to Buyer that it has a good and marketable title to said property, full authority to sell and transfer said property, and that said property is sold free of all liens, encumbrances, liabilities and adverse claims of every nature and description whatsoever. Seller has no knowledge of any hidden defects in and to the vehicle, and believes to the best of the Seller’s knowledge that the vehicle being sold is in good operating condition. Said vehicle is sold in "as is" condition and where presently located with no guarantees, no guarantees to authenticity, no buy backs, or no recourse.
Buyer will pay all taxes, fees and transportation costs.
I also have the vehicle listed locally so I reserve the right to end this auction early in the event I sell it outside of e-Bay.
Please understand that you are bidding TO BUY. You ARE NOT bidding on the opportunity to be the first bidder. If you end up winning the auction, provided the reserve is met, you ARE expected to pay for the vehicle AS IS, WHERE IS, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
