Vehicle Description
I found this one of a kind diesel suburban when I was at my winter home in Arizona. It has an Arizona title and has been there most of it's life. It shows no rust at all and you will not find a nicer unit of this vintage. It is very stylish and is set off with the chrome front pushbar, chrome running boards with running lights, chrome slotted wheeels, chrome rear wind deflector, sun visor, and professionally installed sunroof.
Engine is original 6.2 liter with aftermarket Banks turbocharger that gives tons of power and runs like a sewing machine. It got 22 mpg on the return trip to my home in Nebraska. I originaaly was going to useit on my farm to replace a 94 half ton 6.5 with almost 400 k on it. I just couldn't bring myself to use this nice of a rig and trash it out on the farm so I fixed the 94 and am still using it. This leaves me with an extra vehicle and I have decided to list it. For those of you familiar with the GM diesels, the 6.2 and 6.5 up to 1993 have a mechanically controlled injector pump versus the later model computer controlled model that gave some problems. These are relatively trouble free and much cheaper to replace if need be. The transmission shifts without hesitation and will make a very nice family vehicle or something to pull the boat, camper, jetski or what have you The front seats have sheepskin covers over original seats so original are almost new. It has tinted windows in the passenger area to help keep cool on the hot days and gives it a classy look from the outside. It has two almost new optimizer dry cell batteries. Tires are huge235/85 r 16 on perfect ultra chrome wheels. These alone are worth half of the starting price.
It has front and rear air, a very nice sounding original delco radio, aand is a pleasure to drive. It has the third seat for you people with large families.
