Because of communication issues between buyer and seller, initial sell was not completed. Item is now up again for auction. I purchased this Ty over 5 years ago from the original owner. She was awarded it after her divorce therefore becoming a daily driver, which explains the 140+k miles. Since ownership I have driven it less than 6k, and myself have done basic upgrades and maintenance. Things replaced or upgraded are: drivers side CV shaft, new plugs 8mm wires, cap rotor, vacuum lines, turbo solenoid, tranny fluid / filter, brake pads, front shocks, johnson IC pump OEM lines replaced and rerouted, high volume fuel pump, fuel filter, fresh oil / fluids and front driveshaft balanced. In late 2006 I started prepping the Ty for paint. All the cladding but 4 pieces were replaced with Paul's fiberglass, and was meticulously sanded, fitted, re-sanded, and re-fitted till perfect. In 2007 the interior was removed for cleaning, and all mounting tabs removed. All body prep was performed by myself, 2 small spots of filler were used; on drivers side fender and at the lower right corner of passenger side quarter glass. Rust was very minimal mostly where cladding had rubbed. I do know vehicle has had some minor frontend damage and hood, grill, front bumper cover/support and bumper frame mounts replaced. Maaco then applied the body color, which is darker than the original (long story)...difference can be seen in engine compartment picture. Because of that all jams and underhood was sprayed. I painted the cladding back the original argent gray and remounted them using aluminum and plastic rivets according to specs. Then I color sanded and buffed the entire Ty so it's slick as glass. Windshield was also replaced when painted due to chips and pits. It looks black in most of the pictures but is actually a really dark forrest green and really is sharp up close. Wheels/center caps are near perfect and had clear coat striped, the right rear wheel has one damaged spot. I have and will provide a good replacement for the winning bidder. The carpet is still in good condition, and includes the original TYPHOON front floor mats, dash has one small hole next to defroster vent, monogrammed dash mat is included, seats are really good, small hole barely noticable on drivers side (see picture), and netting on back of passenger seat has been snagged causing holes (see picture), back seat is perfect, rear compartment has minor blems where vehicle was used for hauling, tailgate cover is a little faded and missing original decal (see picture). Engine is stock and has never been taken apart, it does smoke from time to time at start-up. Typical 4.3, valve seats needed I would suppose. It has been taken to the dragstrip twice running a 9.369 1/8 and 15.092 1/4 (cause I stink at launching and reaction timing). I've tried to describe my Ty to the best of my ability. Granted being 16 years old and driven above average it is still a nice Ty, but not perfect. Everything is in working order besides the following: speedometter sometimes stops working, rear hatch release works only when vehicle is running, (typical Ty gremlins) the passenger window motor is almost gone but do have a new replacement, air conditioning does work but will not hold a charge for an extended time. It drives good, shifts strong, and draws attention where ever drive because of its rarity. Vehicle is FOR SALE locally and I reserve the right to remove from auction before ending date/time.
