Vehicle Description
Honda CRX hf 1987, silver and gray, black interior and 5 speed manual transmission. The hf designation is for high fuel. There’s no rust, but there are scratches in the paint not in the metal. It has the original paint which is still good. I had planned to have a new coat of paint put on with the same factory colors but have decided to auction it as is. This vehicle was purchased by my parents when they worked at Honda in Torrance,CA. My dad is a retired pilot and bought it for fuel efficiency. A new clutch plate was installed in March and the CV joints were replaced four years ago. It has Michelin tires with a lot of tread on them. There is a tear in the drivers seat (on the side) which I sewed up myself, but it should be inexpensive to have professionally redone. The nose panel was replaced and remains unpainted. I drove it from Tacoma,WA to Las Vegas and back in June and it ran fine at 70 to 90 MPH no problem. These were the lightest CRX's and are rated from 40 to 51 MPG if you drive them right. This is a great commuter vehicle. It's fun to drive, easy to park and gets great gas mileage. There have been no modifications to the engine. This is a non smoker's vehicle and has not been smoked in. Please email me if you have any questions before bidding. Zero feedback bidders may bid, but must email me first. Only serious buyers will be considered. You must arrange to pick up the vehicle. I will deliver it if the winner is local. Good luck and happy bidding Since people are emailing me for the reserve price I have decided to change my auction. It seems unfair to bidders if some know the reserve and others don't the price will be started with no reserve. This car runs fine. There is no rust. I have seen a lot of these cars with rust and this one is clean. I'd like to keep it but I just have too many vehicles.
