Vehicle Description You are bidding on a 1988 honda civic hatch with a 1.5 liter engine and a 4 speed manual transmission. The car has been my commuter car for a little over a year and about 25,000 miles. In that time I have replaced the timing belt, water pump , battery, right upper control arm, right outer tie rod end, left axle shaft, complete exhaust system, the plugs, wires, cap , and rotor, speedometer cable, fuel filter, valve cover gasket rear brake line, ignition switch, thermostat, radiator, and valve adjusting and 3000 mile oil changes. The vehicle has always had name brand parts from NAPA or carquest no autozone junk. I am a professional mechanic who drives 90 miles a day round trip and could not have a vehicle breaking down so if it was questionable it got replaced. This car has also has had an after market header installed to increase fuel economy is does not make the car sound loud but it does push the fuel economy on the highway to just over 39 miles per gallon. The car is a plain jane model and is rusty and not pretty but I would drive it anywhere. It also has a pioneer cd player. The bad : I had a front end collision in the vehicle is why I quit driving it. It broke the radiator tank and some lights. I needed a car the next day so I bought an integra. Repaired this civic to current drivable condition but I am now spoiled with the acura. So no one is driving this one. After the wreck I replaced the radiator and some bulbs and repaired dents and bumper best I could. I have driven it back and forth three times (270miles) since the wreck and the only problem is that it pulls to the right. The hood latch is broken so I had the hood strapped closed. The interior is very worn in the car but I have seat covers. The windsheild has a chip that has not grown since I have had the car. The passenger door also shuts hard and is miss aligned since the wreck. This would make a great commuter car for someone with todays gas prices and it is almost free to insure. The pictures tell the story. Thanks for looking On May-17-08 at 15:14:44 PDT, seller added the following information: The car is perfectly drivable as is does pull to the right and will likely wear tires. but you could drive as is from here on out with no problem.
