Vehicle Description Are you looking for a nice commuter car that gets 32-35mpg on the highway, is reliable and durable, is easy to park, and yet has plenty of power from a non-vtec 2.3L, and is sporty? Then this Prelude is for you! Tall people don’t think that you can’t fit in a small car! I am not the tallest person but I am definitely not the shortest, at 6’3” my feet are completely stretched out with the seat all the way back! There is no car that even compares! If you live in the cities or where they have HOV lanes this car qualifies. Why buy an overpriced new car that only matches this cars mpg when you could have this car for a lot less $$$$ and way cheaper insurance? If you buy a hybrid you will have to replace the batteries about 5 years or so down the line which will cost at least $4500 plus, and you still have payments and full coverage insurance and high registration costs. It just doesn’t add up to buy a new car that matches this car’s fuel economy. This car is for YOU! If you use the “Buy It Now” option I will deliver this car anywhere in the state of Iowa or the Minneapolis/St. Paul area for free!! I am selling this car for my brother. My brother was in the Army and he bought the car when he was rotated out of Iraq and into Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was honorably discharged from the Army in July of 07’ and brought the car back with him to Iowa. The car is essentially rust free since Alaska doesn’t use salt in Fairbanks, the underbody of the car is rust free. In October my brother bought a new Honda Fit, so he only drove the car from July through September when he returned home to Iowa. He doesn’t need the car anymore and he has moved to Utah to go to school. While he was in Alaska a new alternator, starter, and a larger battery was installed due to the cold weather. The car also has a functional block heater. When he returned I installed: Both drive axles from carquest. Timing belt counter balance belt (both Honda), valve cover gasket and grommets. Thermostat(Honda). New coolant: Prestone 50% + distilled water 50%. Carquest blue ceramic brake pads for the front (these pads are lifetime and minimize brake dust and improve stopping distance). The rear pads have about 60% life left. I have lubed the slides and pad holders, front and rear, and removed any rust on the holders so that the pads back off the rotors when the brake is not engaged. (This will save gas and increase brake life) New front brake rotors. Ngk plugs, Carquest plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, and the fuel filter. I flushed the transmission with 10.5qts of Honda transmission fluid and I have flushed the p/s fluid. The A/C puts out cold air and has good pressure on the high and low sides. I installed and balanced one new tire. I also had a four wheel alignment performed. This car runs perfect and shifts smoothly. I have rotated the tires. Of the three non new tires one has about 80%, 70% on another, and the other tire has about 50% tread life left. The exhaust is in good shape, the muffler is still Honda original. The car has a clean title. The hood was damaged before my brother bought this car but it still shuts and opens fine, the right front fender and rear quarter panel has a crack in the paint, other than that the car has minor cosmetic blemishes which is to be expected for a car that is almost 14 model years old. The key is a little sluggish in the driver’s door and the ignition. The cover to the cup holder in the console is broke and the bezel surrounding the shifter is missing. The interior is leather with the bolsters showing some wear. The wheels are aftermarket, I do not know of the brand, and they are only in fair shape cosmetically. The dash has digital instruments and everything works. The sunroof opens and closes smoothly. The power windows work well. The cruise control works smooth. The radio is a Sony with a cd player and works well. I don’t think you will find a more mechanically sound and all in all solid body on a prelude. Not only will it save you gas you’ll also be able to knock a little off your insurance premium since it has anti-lock brakes and dual airbags: driver and passenger. Plus it’s a blast to drive! It handles awesome, cuts through traffic like a breeze, is very easy to park, and has a small turning radius. This car has at least another 200K miles left in it! I have done my best to describe this car to the best of my ability. If you have any questions of which you can not discern from the photos or the description please ask. A non-refundable $580 dollar Paypal deposit is due following the end of bidding from the winning bidder. The rest of the payment is due in cash at the time the car is picked up or delivered. If the “buy it now” option is not used a fee of $ 0.60, sixty cents, a mile will charged and added to the winning bid for delivery to the destination; furthermore, you will need to tell me where you would like the car. I will compute the distance and add it to the final total less the $580 Paypal deposit. On Jul-06-08 at 06:57:58 PDT, seller added the following information: If you use the "Buy it Now" feature I will deliver free of charge in Iowa and Southern Minnesota as well as to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area!
