Up for sale is my 1999 Huyndai Tiburon FX. I purchased this car 1 year ago in Fort Walton Beach, FL and it has served me well over the 25000 miles that I have driven it. I've now moved on to a 2004 Tiburon GT V6 model, but I miss this car for it's better gas milage.
This vehicle was a reliable daily driver until about a month ago, and only needs a few things to get back on the road again. Currently the car starts and runs fine, but will shut off after warming up for about 20 minutes. This appears to be a simple sensor issue (temp sensor?). It has not been checked by a mechanic, but probably would be quite a simple fix. Other than that the car seems to run fine. The car does not have current NH inspection as I recently moved here, but passed NY inspection last year.
Over the year that I have owned the vehicle, I have performed all scheduled maintenance as needed and have replaced the following items:
- Brand New snow tires (February 2008)
- New drive belts (March 2008)
- New front suspention (June 2007)
- New Rear brakes (June 2007)
The previous owner had the transmission completely rebuilt at about 110k miles and it has never given me any problems.
The title is listed as "Manufacturer Buyback" as it must have been recalled, fixed and resold by Hyundai.
