1994 Infiniti Q45 (w/TCS and Heated Seats) Black exterior, Black leather interior. Approximately 139,000 miles, or 138,310 miles as of this auction. I will display a batch of pictures from December 2007 as well as pictures from June 23rd, 2008 so you can see what scratches I covered up. The pictures from December 2007 are also of an unwashed car. I'll start with THE BAD: Some maintenance is necessary. The struts need to be replaced, especially in the rear. There is a common problem with Q45's in service departments, with tachometers that sometimes go haywire. Mine is no exception. It reads the speed normally, but the tachometer either doesn't function at all, goes haywire by jumping around, or acts perfectly normal for a limited amount of time. Check the video of the tachometer behavior. View the link of the tachometer behaving erratically. Sometimes it works normally, sometimes it plays dead, sometimes it bounces all over the rpm band. This does not damage the engine at all, but it does leave oily residues underneath the car and occasionally smokes when it touches exhaust pipes. The car also appears slower than its earlier years, and that's even after I had the fuel pump replaced. Some cruel person purposely broke the power antenna. Those are inexpensive replacements. The vanity mirrors both light up, but the door on the drivers' side has a crack in the plastic that effects the way the door opens (very minor). THE OPTIMISTIC: Despite the requirement for maintenance to restore full 100% perfect running condition, this car is in overall very very good to excellent condition. I would argue that literally, if one were to slap a new Black paint job, this car would look almost showroom immaculate. With a good wash and wax, most people believe the car is no older than 3 years. You will be complimented everywhere you go when you drive this car. This is why it has been my daily driver for business purposes working in Beverly Hills and Century City. It can be parked alongside other luxury cars from Mercedes, Lexus, BMW, and Jaguar without looking inferior or out of place. The build quality of the early Q45's are just flat out stellar. They are easily on par or better than many other offerings from Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, etc,. A good comparison to the Q45 was the S-Class Mercedes of equivalent year. For a more modern day comparison, I believe it stacks up very well against a 2008 Mercedes E550. THE GOOD: Recent maintenance in the past 6 months. Includes transmission service with new filter and fluid. Fuel pump and fuel filter has been replaced. Synthetic engine oil and new filter. Nearly immaculate interior, with no cracking and excessive wear to the leather interior seats or door panels. Carpeting in excellent shape, including original floormats. Front driver and passenger heated seats with Hi and Lo settings. TCS traction control system, which adds skid protection and aids the driver in maintaining control on slick and/or wet surfaces. The BOSE stereo system in this car has strong bass response and is stellar. Speakers still in great condition. Loud and clear performance. The engine does not consume coolant, does not overheat, nor is the engine burning oil. The engine runs perfectly. The transmission provides crisp and clean shifts. There is a very minor dent on the drivers' rear 1/4 panel. It is not anything major, in fact most people will never notice. It hides very well in black. It's not a major crease or anything that should be considered as detrimental to vehicle operation or even detrimental to the visual appearance. On the passenger side fender, there is slight sideswipe damage that should be considered extremely minor. See the pictures. There is a lot of life ahead for this vehicle. Drive this car anywhere. Fine print: If you are in any doubt about the quality or condition, please ask specific questions and/or personally inspect this vehicle yourself prior to bidding. I do not have the pink slip/title, but will provide the Bill of Sale. Car will be smogged for the new owner at my expense if buyer uses the BUY IT NOW feature. It passed smog year without problem, so I don't see any reason to believe it won't pass smog this time. This is a PreOwned vehicle. As such, I cannot take responsibility for any imperfections. What you see is what you get. I will be as honest as possible about the condition of this vehicle. Keep in mind, that although I am extremely satisfied with the overall interior and exterior condition of this vehicle, especially for its mileage and age, there are those who may nitpick or those who disagree. I advise you to come view the vehicle personally if you have interest in it. There is glossy paint overall, however there are various scuffs and scratches at both the front and rear bumper covers as well as scratches here and there that occurred over the years on both sides of the vehicle. Almost all scratches have been masked with touch up paint and/or good washing and waxing. I will post more pictures in the next day or two so that you can see the visual improvements I've made via touch up painting. Reserve price is set at $2500.00. On Jul-06-08 at 23:06:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Note: I am crazy for having this reserve price as low as it is. As promised, I added the second batch of pictures. I would have added more, but eBay did not allow any more pictures to be added. The car drives better now than it did when I wrote the initial description, so I believe I have been a little overdramatic about the negatives of this vehicle. It ABSOLUTELY needs struts replaced, and every other "flaw" is liveable as long as you understand that this is a car from the '90s (i.e., it's not new). This is the cleanest Black on Black 1994 Infiniti Q45 I can find in Los Angeles, both inside and out, with factory paint. The passenger side front fender has slight damage that was on the car when I bought it. It is not major at all. The rear drivers' 1/4 "dent" that I mentioned is also hardly noticeable. I took a picture of it, and it still was not easy to see even though I had my face within two feet of the car. I was overdramatic in describing it. No rips, no tears, no cracks in the leather or interior carpets. No stains either. On Jul-07-08 at 00:57:08 PDT, seller added the following information: I also just returned from a 300 mile round trip in this vehicle over the July 4th weekend. So it can definitely be driven home wherever you are.
