This auction is for one 1968 2WD International Travelall in fairly decent shape. It could be my daily driver, but for now it is my ice cream cruiser with the kids. It is reliable, has all the seat belts, and if you bought it, you could drive it home. It is mechanically sound, I was going to use it to tow the camper when camping but I have another 74 Travelall that fits that bill, and I do not need two. It has a better looking style than the 74, and I get comments all the time while driving... but I do not need two of them. See pictures for details. The truck is mechanically sound... it does have rust issues though. I was going to tackle the rust next. It is 40 years old but you would not think it has been in the weather for most of it, however it will need someone who wants to spend time on the body. When you look inside, you will see the entire headliner, back seat is in very good shape, the front is worn and I covered it with a seat cover. The original AC is under the dash and the original heater is by the passengers feet. The steering wheel is the original and has the original IH cap. The dome lights are there and work. You will also see a complete, nice dash that has not been chopped up AT ALL. All gauges work, fuel tank works on the passenger side. Drivers side has the tube, cap, but no tank. All trim is there and all 4 hub caps It has the factory towing package, and the previous owner put a hitch on the front for pushing his boat around... must be easier than backing up. The dash pad is in really good shape, the original AM radio is there and it works. All 4 passenger windows roll up and down without any problems, back window has a problem... would roll down but motor was not strong enough to roll back up if tailgate was up. If tailgate was down, it worked fine. I think it just needs to be tweaked, I believe it is how the Spring mechanism is set up and helps the motor lift the window. What more can I say, this is a decent truck that could be made into an excellent truck with a little more work. Just pickup where I left off and enjoy a classic IH vehicle for many years to come. It has: 4 speed 345 V8 (yes it came from the factory with the 345... I have the Line set ticket) I believe the gear ratio is 4:09 factory power steering... turns with your finger factory power brakes....no problems at all Did install a electronic fuel pump... original fuel pump shot craps and to replace with one was not cost effective New brake hardware, one new drum, the other one was turned and the brakes work great New rebuilt carb that has absolutely no problems New bearings in front and rear axles New Shocks front and rear (it does NOT have the torsion bars.... it has leaf springs under the axles front and rear. If you wanted to convert it to 4WD (like I was)... it should be a bolt in process. Exhaust is in good shape... nice low rumble sound... passed the MO safety inspection Starts easily and drives down the highway at 70 MPH with no problems DOES NOT SMOKE Engine has new plugs, wires, cap, etc... AC is all there, I never hooked it up Wipers work Heater core was flushed and installed, needs adjustment but works (slow and fast fan) Tires are in good shape blinkers work, horn works, high low lights It has a clean title with no Liens Things that do not work... I have the tail lights hooked to the headlights, switch under the dash is acting up so I by passed it. Tail gate window has to be looked at In a nutshell... It is in better shape than most, but not a show truck, I think this could be a daily driver but that will be decided by buyer. One person having fun tinkering is another persons project... so they say. This is NOT a rust bucket, I am in no way saying this truck does not have rust issues though... but you could drive it down the highway... grab the kids and go get ice cream, camping, or next club meeting. Take a look at the pictures, I can send more and answer any questions you have... but it will be sold as is. I believe it is a $2,200.00 truck, but I am starting the bid at $1,800.00 to get it sold.
