Every time we list one of these nice TRUCKS we get swamped with emails so please be patient and I will answer every email in the order in which I receive them. Now that you've seen the good.. let's discuss what you can't see in the pics.. Everyone that's ever owned a Scout knows they rust... a lot.. well this one didn't.. but... no 34 year old truck is 100% rust free.. down on the rocker panels there are 2 - 3 very small spots that are so small you could cover them up with a penny.. there might be 5 - 6 pennys worth over the whole body.. there is one or 2 small spots on the inner tailgate.. but again.. very very small. The undercarrage is so nice I wish I had a lift to take pics of it. The only spot I can find that will need attention in the future is near the driver front body mount. There is a rusty spot a couple inches square.. not a big deal to fix.. but I wanted you to know.. The truck originally had air conditioning. The former owner told me the compressor locked up and he simply removed it. The bucket seats are obviously NOT original but they do feel nice. The paint is acceptable for a dailey driver and going down the road she looks like a million bucks. I would suggest that when the time comes in a few years and she needs another repaint that the next owner spend a little more money then the last owner did and get her a nice repaint as the body on this beauty deserves better then a Maaco special.. The door jams don't look at pretty as the rest of the truck. The passenger door lock sticks and does not open from the outside. The door handle however does work, both outside and in. The engine compartment looks nice but looks to have been detailed over a few hours.. Most of you that have owned Scouts know the top comes off. Where the top meets the body there is a gasket. I was told by the former owner the gasket was torn and he didn't want water to get in so he siliconed the joint between the top and the body.. he then painted it silver... Doesn't look bad from 20 feet away but that's one of the first things I would fix if you are gonna fix her up a bit. A cheap $20-$30 fix but again.. I still wanted you to know. No show car here but hey.. for a cool ol truck she looks ok. I would suggest maybe a father and son spend a week and detail this baby out and with just a couple hundred bucks spent in the right places on cosmetics.. you would have a winner on your hands. Well that's about it.. bid.. look... drool.. buy... be my guest.. but once it's gone.. it's gone.. We reserve the right to cancel bids by users with negative feedback or excessive retractions and end the auction early. Even though we reserve the right to end the auction early, I want to be very clear..... I WILL NOT END THE AUCTION IN THE LAST 24 HOURS to sell outside of Ebay. That would be unfair to the Ebayers that take the time to follow the auction and take the time to come out and inspect the truck.
