Vehicle Description
1966 Jaguar 420 sedan. I have owned this car for 22 years, and have spent a fortune on it, but I have no time to finish. Originally purchased in France, it was brought to Canada by a doctor who livedf in NB. Apparently he skipped the country and left the car. I purchased it from a lawyer who got it from Revenue Canada as a commission for sorting out the doctors affairs. Presently it is in our barn and rather dirty. It has a fully restored body, done to a very high standard by Ian Benton in NB (a well known British car specialist). The shell was bare metal stripped and the smalll amount of rust replaced with carefully formed parts hand made and carefully seam welded in place. There was very little rust, a bit above the headlights and a little on the lip of the fender,and some in the bottom of the door. The body has been painted, but the doors need to be done. The paint will need recoated as it is a bit rubbed from being stored. The engine ran very well and only has about 70,000 KMs on it. The transmission is a four speed with working overdrive. The interior is out but I do have all the bits as well as a nice uncracked replacement dashboard pad and extra bits of various kinds. There is a complete set of new rubber door and glass seals as well as the new windlacing (bought in the UK years ago). There is also a rebuilt master cylinder and servo unit (done by Bassets Jaguar,cost 900.00. It will need a new windshield and a couple of wheels as the original were stolen. I have the bumpers and chrome. The grille is there but dented. I have just bought an expensive horse and need the space too, so this has to go. My loss, your gain!!. No Reserve.
