2nd Owner selling 1970 Jaguar 4.2L, 2+2. I've owned it for the past 11 years, always garaged. When I got it from original owner, it had been garaged for the prior 15 years. No rust on floor pans, chassis, or body. Mileage is 70K plus. I 've installed many new parts over the years, and still needs more to complete. Some items have stopped working, like: the oil pressure gauge, clock, antenna, tumbler in the lock of driver's side door handle. There is a small dent at the front where I hit a dog one night. I have the bumper bar which was straightened and rechromed, not installed. The passenger side door at the bottom is showing rust spots coming through, was fixed and painted some years ago. There are some dings above the passenger rear side fender, where a bicycle fell on the car. Leather seats show age, are cracked and small pieces went awol. There are a couple of oil leaks. It wouldn't be a British Car if it didn't leak something. Original owner's manual, parts manual and many receipts are included. May need tires. One tire is showing belts. Original tool kit is included, w/ hammer and tool to remove/install wheels. Also included are four brand new tear drop wheel ends. Brand new battery and fuel filter. Car runs great and I wouldn't hesitate to go anywhere with it. As per owner's manual, cruising speed for this car is at 125 mph. I had it at 130 mph one time, preventing a BMW from passing me. Top speed is 149 mph.
Auction may be cancelled at any time as it is also being advertised locally. Bidding winner will have to deposit $500 within 48 hrs of end of auction with Paypal. Then you have 7 days to pick up car and pay rest of balance. Shipping is completely up to you.
