For sale is my 1970 Jaguar E Type. I am the third owner and have owned the car for 3 1/2 years. The second owner had owned the car since 1976 and showed the car quite a bit in the western part of the country. The previous owner had also completely rebuilt the engine and transmission as well as having everything forward of the firewall re-built or replaced. The engine work was done by gran turismo, an expert in jaguar engines. This car has a complete paper trail of every service, maintenance, and upgrade since 1976. When I purchased the car I had the body dissassembled, blasted, and re-painted. I replaced the driver side outer sill and inspected the passenger sill for any rust. I had every dent and ding worked out by a metal-smith. I can say with all confidence that there is no rust or bondo in this car whatsoever. (over $20,000 in paint and metal work) I have additional photos of the restoration process. In addition to the exterior I also replaced the interior ( except for the seats which have a nice original patina) and the top. As I stated I drive the car on every pretty day. It has never been driven in the rain (at least not since 1976). The car has several upgrades to make it more reliable and user friendly. I have installed and electronic ignition ( this car always starts). I have also installed a modern stereo/cd/mp3 player and modern alternator. This car also has a modern oil filtration adapter to use newer performance oil filters. The car will come with all original parts should you wish to return it to its original configuration. This car has a Jaguar heritage certificate showing that it is not only in its original color configuration but also a completely numbers matching car. This car is featured in the coffee table book " Jaguar the Classic Marque" by Steve Kennedy. A copy of the book as well as maintence and shop manuals will accompany the car. This car has every service and upgrade since 1976 documented by receipts and service records.
