Non smoker 68 years old and I drive it every week-end that the sun shines and the roads are clear, which this past spring was not often! Less than 5,000 miles on complete engine rebuild by Bill Terry's Jaguar, Benton IL. I rebuilt the four speed transmission with new synchronizers and seals. New aluminum flywheel and aluminum radiator installed during re-assembly. Five new Michelin Symmetry narrow white wall tires and tubes mounted since rebuild. Starter and alternator rebuilt. Car is very unique because it has a factory electric sunroof which works and does not leak. I understand Jaguar did not offer an electric sunroof in 1966, however for those buyers who wanted one, Jaguar would send the cars somewhere else near Coventry and have them installed before export to the U.S. The five chrome spoke wheels, knock-offs and chrome all around is in exceptionally good condition, also includes original tool-kit satchel, jack and raw-hide copper combination hammer. I am including everything I have, books and manuals, extra new parts not yet installed, a complete new wiring harness still in the box (over $1,000) two new front caliper cylinders (over $200) and all original parts removed from the car. I've owned the car for over ten years. I had a quintuple bypass in 2003 after taking the engine to Benton IL for rebuild and was over two years getting it re-assembled while it waited patiently on an engine stand. The engine compartment, under bonnet and under front were re-painted while the engine was out. To the best of my memory it has been rained on twice while at or returning from car shows, I have always kept it garaged and not driven in foul weather. Items not stock include the auxiliary fan, beautiful custom wood steering wheel, electric antenna and aluminum radiator and flywheel. The condition inside and out is good to very good, not perfect. I have tried to show the worst in the pictures (which is mainly paint), as well as the best features of the car. I think it is the original "Opalesent Maroon" with sprayed touch up areas over the years. It rarely fails to get a compliment or comment at filling stations and lots of "looks" and "thumbs up" on the road. Since the rebuild I have used only distilled water and Prestone anti-freeze in the cooling system. I use premium unleaded fuel and Penzoil 10-W-40 motor oil. The transmission was filled with hypoid 90 after being reworked and installed. The differential was also drained and refilled with hypoid 90. It needs the front calipers cleaned and polished again as it's beginning to pull slightly to the right when braking hard. It still does not like parades. Extended periods of start and stop driving in July and August will cause it to overheat even with the auxiliary fan, I have had no problems around town with the aluminum radiator. I will answer all questions to the best of my knowledge and as far as I know the odometer is correct. The tach works but needs wires re-attached at engine. It has new gaiters and grease cups, one was torn on installation, I have new replacements. Due to health I just can't give it the driving time and care I want it to have. It has been my baby.
