I bought this car in about 1997. The motor was pulled from the car when I bought it. It had not been driven since 1973. Was a very nice car when parked. I completely rebuilt the engine. ( new pistons, bearings, bored block, new timming chains and tensiners. Hardened valve seats. No expence spared. I have all reciepts.) It has a 3.8 Liter Jaguar engine. I rebuilt the auto transmission, statrer and generator. I have had the car started but carbs now leak and needs to have gas tanks replaced. I placed a quick paint job on the car to preserve the body while it was in storage. While I located some parts. I have yet to return to this project. Body does have some rust but not much. Interior needs to be completely replaced. Car is solid and complete with much of the mechanical complete, and restored. I bought a parts car about 4 years ago.It has a new rear window never installed, good gas tanks. and vinal seats that might just clean up enought to be useable. The parts car is a MKVII with MKIX script. parts car has rear drum brakes. MkIX have 4 wheel disc-brakes. I do NOT have the title to either cars. If sales price exceeds $2500.00 i will get a title for the MKXI if the buyer wants. Will take about a 4-6 weeks. I am happy to help with shipping etc.
