Jaguar supercharged 370HP Vanden Plas XJR sedan – Bargain!! Jaguar supercharged 370HP Vanden Plas XJR sedan, 1999, with about 94,500 highway miles. Offered as a huge bargain (starting bid only $5,500 with NO RESERVE) to make room in my garage. Beautiful black (“anthracite”) with light gray premium leather interior. The supercharged Vanden Plas is the absolute top of the Jaguar line and quite rare: it combines the luxurious Vanden Plas sedan with the fabulous XJR supercharged engine. Fully loaded with every luxury (all the options on other Jags come standard on this one): premium sound (better than my home system) with CD changer, those uniquely Jaguar wood tray tables in back, luxurious lambs wool rugs unique to this model, wood and leather steering wheel, heated seats front and rear, even nicer leather than regular Jaguars, etc. etc. Original price over $95,000. I've owned this car since 2001 (bought it tw years old with 17,000 miles). Has features not found in the standard Vanden Plas, but the really special feature is the supercharged engine. I’ve owned it since 2000, have had all service performed on time, have fixed everything that needed fixing, and have taken meticulous care of this gorgeous car. A few weeks ago (mid-March 2008) I asked my excellent mechanic to inspect it thoroughly and fix anything he found, as well as perform all current maintenance; also installed four new all-season tires. In addition, four high-end winter tires on alloy rims are included. Have all manuals. Always garaged. For prompt sale, I’ve offered an incredibly low starting price ($5,500), way below Kelly Blue Book and NADA values of around $13,000 - $15,000, with no reserve. I think this is the best-maintained example of Jaguar’s best sedan at a great value. Note: the roof liner is a bit loose over the back seats and should be re-glued at some point; I'm told this will probably run a couple of hundred dollars. There are no other service or maintenance items that I know of, and my (very thorough and very good) mechanic didn't see anything else during his recent bumper-to-bumper inspection; in fact, he's told me he'd probably like to buy the car if not sold in this auction. Next scheduled maintenance is oil change this fall. Please call me with any questions, or just to talk about the car and get a little more detail, before bidding.
