Vehicle Description
This 1997 Jaguar XJR has 105,900 miles on it. This model has an inline 6 supercharged engine. It was the performance flagship of Jaguar when new. I bought the car in 2001 with 32,000 miles on it. I have maintained it and it’s never been involved in an accident, to my knowledge. I had an Extended Service Contract through June 2006 and used it on several occasions. It’s been my daily driver since I bought it. This 11 year old car has some negatives: The paint has some peeling and crazing on the hood, roof and deck lid, as shown in the photos. The clear coat is basically shot. The "trac fail" and "anti lock" lights are on. The windshield has 2 small stone chips. The brakes squeal when they are cold. The cup holder in the console cushion is broken. The seats are in good shape with no tears. There is some wear to the driver’s side bolster as shown in the photos. The right headlight needs a new bezel. Now for the positive: All the body panels are good with no apparent signs of rust. The doors have a few minor dings. In January 2006, I had extensive work done including: New power radio antenna, New headliner, New Idle Control valve, New rearview mirror (interior liquid crystal), New radiator mounts, New engine pulleys (all), Cylinder head was reground with new gasket set, All belts and hoses were replaced. The tires have about 20,000 miles on them. The wheels are original and in very good condition. The AC works. All electrical works. The carpets are in good shape but the mats are shot. The car has a brand new battery. I have tried to give the most accurate description possible. There may be other things wrong that I am not aware of. If you have any questions, I’ll do my best to give you a clear, honest answer. I have all the repair and maintenance records. There is enough to work with to bring it back without too much expense or there is a lot that could be parted-out. This car is being sold as-is, where-is and has a clear title. Buyer is solely responsible for pick up or transport.
